Ulver double checks that the Moose, birds and fish have been properly prepared for their "new friends" and takes mental note to just not eat the moose flesh

Poker ate a moose leg since the poison wouldn't hurt her. Other wolves started eating and many went to the river after, the poison if ate first made it seem like u had some salt and lemon. Then ur lunges would seize up and kill u. If it was put into blood stream it would go to ur heat and u would die with in seconds
