Poker yawned and spoke in Russian to herself then resumed watching them

“Alright then, I should be on my way now. It was nice to meet you, and it was great to see Sirhaan again.” He ‘hugs’ her one last time before walking away. “Oh,” He turns around, “Sorry if I insulted you earlier, it’s just how I act upon greeting stranger wolves.. anyways see ya later everyone.” He says before walking away.

"No worries, be safe!"

Ulver runs after her "Wait!!! What's going on? Are you ok?"

“I-I.. I know this place..” She says

“It’s.. where my old pack was.. this is were I grew up.” She trots up to a den near the water. “This was my home, I remember it so vividly.” She goes in and pulls out a skull of a wolf. She looks down on it, a wave of sadness comes over her. “I’m, so.. so.. sorry.”

“There’s.. something I didn’t tell you. You see.. my pack was not like the White River Pack, they were vicious and agressive.. they believed that only the strongest and most vigilant should live, if you weren’t either of those.. you had better hoped you could run. Once pups gre to be a certain age, they had to prove themselves in a battle with their littermates, a battle to the death. Only two pups were allowed to survive in a litter of four.. and.. well..” She stops for a moment. “Me and my brother were the winners..” She tears up a bit, “A-and this was my sister.. after the battle.. they made me wear her skull, even with some meat still hanging on. As if it was something to be proud of, something I should scream to the world, ‘Hey! I just killed my sister.’ No, I was so full of guilt and regret.. that’s why I was recruited to omega, I was the only one who refused to fight, the only one who refused to be of a higher rank. My brother on the other hand, got cocky.. he took the win as a sign of him to be the next Alpha.. a few weeks later, he challenged him. I watched as they faught, it was terrible, blood everywhere and right when Felan was about to have his throat ripped out the Alpha gave him the chance to flee, and he took it. He ran as far as possible.. he looked back at me one last time.. and that was the last I ever saw him until now.” She’s silent as she stares at the skull, that is now only bones.

“That’s what I’m worried about.. while you guys were talking that’s exactly what I was thinking.. I don’t know their intentions, but we shouldn’t go assuming things. Let’s just keep an eye on them and hopefully they’re just friends again.. I hope” She looks down at the skull and then to the beach. Taking the skull in her mouth she trots up to a sandy spot and digs a hole, she places the skull in it and covers it. “She deserves a proper burial.”

“Yeah, we did have troubles with food.. but our Alpha was not a nice leader, as you can see.. especially to the females. If one didn’t have a rank they were either only good for pups or were driven out of the pack.”
