Moving on

“Is she okay..?” Daisy asked lowly as she looked to Terra. “She’s sleeping calm down Daisy” the female rolled her eyes. A black wolf with purple eyes slowly stepped inside with her ears back. She had a small males frame but you could tell she was serious and tempered. A white and grey female followed her in, her dim yellow eyes stayed on the larger black female. This female had a good build, like a normal strong female. “Sassy, June” Terra and Daisy dipped their heads and looked to the side. “Oh why thank you” June’s (white and grey female) Cheeks heated up with a slight blush under her fur as she also dipped her head. Sassy (black female) rolled her eyes “don’t do all that stuff it’s a waste of time” she snarled lowly. “If anything happens you and little miss perfect are to get Miss Vixen to a safe place” Sassy looked down to Terra as she spoke. “Yes of course” she said quickly. “I don’t want you fighting. It’ll also be a waste of time. You are only here to comfort her not fight for her. Don’t think you can be all big and strong and guard her. Me and June will stay with you guys to help if someone follows you” Sassy said looking to June for a second. Terra and Daisy both nodded to her and looked back to Vixen. “She seems good for now” Daisy said lowly. “It’s not only if she’s good it’s if this bastard Herzogin speaks of shows up” June said back to her. “Remember, you and Daisy get Vixen out of here. Me and June will follow to protect you and Herzog, Herzogin, Reaper, and Alicia will stay and fight them off” Sassy said lowly as she flashed them her teeth before turning around and sitting outside of the den along with June

“What’s happening now?” Daisy questioned. “She’s probably having a nightmare” Terra shrugged. “Well shouldn’t we wake her up?” “No, she’s fine”. Poker pinned her ears back and stood slowly. “She could hurt herself in her sleep or someone near her if she’s having a nightmare that’s bad enough” she said softly. Terra and Daisy backed up a step. Poker looked over Vixen and tried to calm herself. Her pupils dilated slightly but were still abnormal. Poker pressed her automail lightly into Vixens side in hope that the cold metal and pressure would wake her up and if she was having a really bad nightmare and attacked she would only hit Pokers automail.

Poker chuckled lightly “You can’t go anywhere alone at the moment. You need to stay guarded and within range”

Poker rolled her eyes and nodded to June. June nodded back and June followed Vixen closely

June looked to her curious but decided not to ask. Sassy watched them from a distance waiting for June and Vixen to come back so June could return to her place.

“No it’s nothing” June spoke lowly as she turned her attention to a scarred up red and tan wolf. His dark brown eyes scanned over the girls as he walked out of the bushes. He didn’t have much fur, most of it was replaced by another scar. June moved far from his path and watched him go by. A very light grey almost white female followed her with her head low annoyed. Her bright blue eyes shot both Vixen and June a look a she followed the male. June gulped lowly once they passed. “That’s Reaper and Alicia. They are the best fighters in our pack” June said softly as they went around the den then back into the forest. “They are watching the area” she said after they left from view.

“That sounds about right but Reaper doesn’t like to sit still and Alicia likes to always make sure no one is in the area. Since this is their first time here I’m pretty sure they are making sure they get a good feel for the area so they can use it to their advantage. I would ask but I’m scared of them” June spoke softly.

“Well if you in-“ June was interrupted by a howl going over the area from Herzog. June trotted over behind Vixen. Reaper and Alicia moved towards the den as well. Poker flattened her ears and slowly made her way towards her brother. “Sassy has told me she’s caught another scent, since she the best nose from us that I know of I think I want her to take someone and look around” he spoke sternly. “Yea I think Vixen just caught a scent too!” June added. “Vixen stay inside the den in the back” Herzog barked quickly. “Herzogin, Daisy and Terra lay with her in the back” Herzog continued. Terra made her way over to Vixen as Daisy was already over there. Poker groaned and looked outside. “Sassy and June sit by the opening of the den for a min” he growled gently. Both females moved to the opening and scanned the area. “Reaper and Alicia I know you are the main fighters aside from myself and my sister but I need you to stay here while I take Sassy and June and try to find the general area of the scent” Reaper and Alicia nodded to him and sat down. “Let’s go” he huffed to Sassy and June. Slowly the 3 started sniffing around outside and followed a slight scent Into the open area. Poker stood in the opening in front of Reaper and Alicia with her head down between her shoulders. Her chest and neck were puffed up as she lashed her tail and eyed her brother. Her ears shifted wildly as she also looked over the area. “Anything happens, Daisy and Terra you are to get Vixen out of here. Reaper you will go with the girls and Alicia you too. Herzog, Me, June, and Sassy will hold anything off or fucking kill it. I’ll send June and Sassy after you guys as soon as possible” Poker snarled lowly. Reaper and Alicia looked to eachother concerned. “Ma’am not to question your decision but, we were brought to fight not to follow and protect while our alpha and his sister risk their lives” Alicia spoke softly. Her voice was very soft and sweet and kind. Poker shot her look and Alicia quickly looked away. “Sorry for asking” Alicia huffed lowly. Reaper gave a low chuckle as Alicia looked at him annoyed. “And what are you laughing at!?” She snapped softly. Reaper just smiled and shook his head slightly. Daisy and Terra talked over where they would go while Alicia looked outside from behind Poker. Reaper laid his head down and curled into a ball completely ignoring everyone. Poker kept her head low as her tail lashed. She lifted her head and ears as Herzog, June, and Sassy started into the tree line. A low growl escaped Pokers jaws as her pupils enlarged more and her hackles raised. Alicia turned her attention to Poker while Reaper just slightly perked his ears. Alicia stood next to Poker also looking out (so fucking bored so all my reply’s r just long af so I can waste my time)

Poker snarled lowly at the others “Y’all fucking suck at this” she growled. She followed Vixens scent but was quickly distracted by a scent going over Herzogs. She growled again and gave her tail a lash and followed it in a quick trot. Reaper had saw Vixen leave and had followed her. He sat behind her in the bushes surprisingly quiet and unnoticed. “Guys where did they go? Reap- Reaper!?” Alicia barked standing up. She sniffed outside “Ugh there’s to many scents I don’t have a good enough room to follow one” she whined lowly. Alicia looked over the bushes but huffed as she saw no one and sat down. “How did they all leave without us seeing, aside from Herzogin that” Terra said sitting by Alicia. “That just goes to show we need to pay more attention” Daisy sighed. “We will stay here. Herzogin, Reaper, Herzog, and Sassy can take care of themself. June won’t leave Sassy and I’m sure Reapers with Vixen. Nothing gets under his nose” Alicia chuckled lightly and looked down as if remembering something. “Sounds like a plan” Terra said laying down but keeping a look over the bushes to spot anyone being chased. Daisy stood by Terra then sat. Alicia didn’t move her gaze from the tree line for a second as she desperately tried to spot anyone go by. Herzog trotted next to Sassy and June as Sassy sniffed the ground wildly. “There...” Herzog barked lowly seeing a wolf moving ahead. The 3 picked up their pace not knowing they were being followed. Poker moved into a run as both scents were getting stronger so the wolf was gaining on her brother. Reaper looked over the other wolf Vixen was with as he sat down slowly. His torn ear twitched in the wild trying to catch the smallest of sound. His extremely dark brown eyes (looking black unless the sun was directly on them) were fixed on the female yet often glanced off to the side to insure their safety. He rememebered the last time he had to watched someone...

“REAPER” his head snapped to the left tearing his head from the wolves jaws. He spotted her held by 4 wolves all thrashing her wildly. His eyes widened as he jumped from the other wolf and maybe a b line for the female. His jaws crushed down around a wolves neck instantly snapping it. He let go when another pair of jaws sunk into his thigh. He turned around and was grabbed by another wolf. The last wolf dragged the screaming female away. He pried his leg from the wolves jaw and snapped it in the process. The other wolf went to the other and nudged it as Reaper took off. He tackled the wolf and ended up getting inpaled with a branch. From there everything was black all he could hear was her screams. He wasn’t sure how long he was out but he wished he didn’t wake. Around him were the pieces of the female he was sworn to protect. He gasped and tried to stand yet with the blood he had lost he was barely alive. He could recall the others all crying and him staring in disbelief.

A branch snapping brought the male back to reality. Reaper looked around quickly and twitched his ears. He let out a low breath seeing it was only a squirrel. The male pawed his face feeling cold tears run down his fur. He looked back to the large scar behind his right front leg. He took a deep breath feeling where the branch had sunk through. He wished the medics weren’t so smart and let him drown in his blood as it flowed into his lungs. Reaper couldn’t run forever with his lungs still not completely healed. This was only earlier this year which made the memory and scars fresh.
