Loud barking could be heard, and soon after a distress howl from Artemis rang out louder than any other sound.
[During the time between the barking and howl] Sirhaan had made it to the cliff where Felan pushed their mother to her death, she had just learned this information from Artemis. All her life she had hoped she was still alive and they would be ruinited. The waterfall next to her drowned out most sounds, except for Artemis’ voice. “Sirhaan.. please. It’s dangerous here.” He said calmly, “How..?” Sirhaan asked, Artemis walked closer, “HOW LONG DID YOU HIDE IT!?!?” Sirhaan screamed at him. He lowered his ears, “I loved you Artemis.. I trusted you..” She started sobbing loudly. “Sirhaan, I-“ “NO! I don’t want to hear it! I want her!” Sirhaan said interrupting him. She had slowly started backing away from him, right towards the waterfall. “Sirhaan? Sirhaan watch out!” Artemis cry was too late though. With a loud splash Sirhaan had fallen into the falls and was quickly being carried downstream, right towards the waterfall. She already couldn’t swim and was struggling, Artemis rang out a long, loud cry hoping others would notice and ran to keep pace with her, Sirhaan smashed into a rock that broke a couple ribs and knocked the wind out of her.

"Sirhaan!" Tom screamed as he watched the fae plummet into the river below. The small male did even think before shooting down the mountainside and running alongside the river, trying to pick out the female among the current. The moment he spotted the female, Tom launched himself into the water and swam towards her. Once reaching her, Tom grabbed her scruff beginning to paddle to the shore.

Artemis watched as Tom went after her.The current continued pushing them downwards, Artemis was still running at the shore ready to help them out of the water. Sirhaan was starting to lose consciousness and had visible marks on her side.

Tom fought against the current, struggling to keep his and Sirhaan's head above the water. Tom did spot Artemis running downstream after them. Tom gave him a worried look before quickly turning around to hit a rock as well. Tom flinched but forced himself to turn and claw ahold of the rock despite his now shooting pain. Tom took a second to look at the large rock when trying to keep the other's head above the water when he got a thought. He looked from the rock and then to the shoreline, and then back to the rock. Tom shook his head, it was his only idea for the moment as he didn't have much time to dwell on it. Tom shifted slightly on the rock so that his back legs pushed against it. Finally, with the last spike of his energy, he pushed off the rock and shot forward through the water until his claws grabbed a root near the shore. Tom crawled desperately out of the water, dragging Sirhaan's body up and onto the sandy area. Once Sirhaan was out, Tom fully left the river, collapsing next to his packmate his a fit of coughing and trying to catch his breath.

Artemis ran over and inspected them both, “What hurts? I can get herbs to help.” He nudged Sirhaan but she had drifted out of consciousness. He did his best to get the water out of her lungs and eventually was able to get her to cough most of it up. He saw they were both injured pretty bad, “Stay here, I’ll go get something for the wounds, and something to warm you both up.” He ran back towards the pack.
Sirhaan still had her eyes closed and was shivering, she eventually opened her eyes and saw Tom. She tried saying “Thank you” but it came out stutttered. She had tears running down her cheeks as she laid on the shore.

Tom nodded to Sirhaan, still panting and coughing, not as bad as before which was good. The male had lifted the front part of his body with his front legs, but his flank and back legs lay limp in the sand, too stiff and weak to move. Eventually, the male was able to speak between heavy breaths and cough. "That hell happened?" He was able to ask.

Sirhaan had started to cry, and coughed whilst crying, “My mother..” she tried to say but still in too much shock. “She’s dead..” She managed to get out, “Felan.. lied.” Was all she was able to say before she collapsed with her paws on her face.

Tom frowned, offering a sympathetic, yet weak look. "I'm sorry." He breathed out, his front legs giving out too when the fae collapsed, leaving Tom on his side sprawled out awkwardly. He tail fell into the currently slightly, sending shivers running up his spine but he was to weak to move.

Artemis had made his way back carrying a small box filled with cobwebs and other healing herbs. He tended to Tom first giving him some herbs that served as painkillers, and tended to his feet and legs, then he moved to Sirhaan, wrapping cobwebs around her torso and also giving her painkillers. He grabbed them both by the scruff and pulled them further up shore and kept them in the sun to warm up. Then he sat down, “Is there any internal pain? If so I can get more painkillers and wrap it but that’s all I can really do.” He then turned to Tom, “Thank you sir, that was very brave.”
Sirhaan shook her head and continued quietly crying, while laying in the grass.

Tom just lifted his head when the male returned. "Don't mention it." He huffed weakly, before laying his head back in the sand, wanting nothing more than just lay in the sun for a bit.

Artemis nodded, “Ill be right near if either of you need anything.” He said before walking into the shadow of the trees and laying down, watching them,
Sirhaan lays there, no longer crying but still had tears on her face. She put her paw on Tom’s amd said “Thank you, I owe you my life.” She said before withdrawing her paw.

Tom nodded, "Don't mention it." He mumbled before struggling to sit up and shake his fur. "I should really work on swimming... Granted I was carrying you and you're bigger than me... But still." He huffed, trying to lighten the mood

Tom let out an amused huff, "I suppose so." He mused before falling into another coughing fit. "I think I have swum enough for a while." He huffed when he was finished coughing.

“I feel the same way.” She said doing her best to sit up and coughing a bit more. After she was able to she sighed and looked to the ground. She dug her claws into the dirt and lowered her ears.

<Lore note: Ulver uses a plant known as "Rabbit Tobacco". It was initially brought in to our forum by me as part of his lore and I wish to restore and maintain this. In his pack the use of this plant is considered taboo and it has even damaged his nose. Due to this, starting 4/16/2018 I would like for it to be a special thing only Ulver utilizes.>

He saw the stare and looked away. “I’m sorry.”
Sirhaan sighed and looked at Tom, “Ready to go back to the pack?”
