Umi’s audits perks hearing a rustling and soon after seeing Droplet appear she smiled giving a nod as the brute allowed her to eat first. “It is getting chilly out..okay yes I’m cold.” She huffed but not out of annoyance. Umi filled her stomach with the tender dark meat of the fresh carcass.

Umi did in fact feel the brute’s muscles tense and due to his earlier statement she hid yet another blush ‘Gosh it’s only sleeping you fool!’ The golden dame mentality chastised herself. Umi waited until he was finished before she returned the long ear lick with a slight nibble at the end only to tease. She nodded as if nothing just happened “Of course, extra heat would be nice thank you, cinnabon.” She giggled which she rarely did.

Umi rolled her ice blue optics adding in a chuckle at Droplet’s equally playful antics. After finishing the deer, Umi padded over laying right next to the brute, even daring to snuggle up close with a hum in her throat at how warm Droplet’s pelt was and his scent of pine tickled her nose. The golden dame rested her head underneath his bit on top of Droplet’s paws she let out a content sigh while her tassel swayed gently against the soft grass and the darker brute’s rump. “It’s just as it always was..” Umi trailed off with a yawn happy she could share such a special place with Droplet.

Umi groaned in her sleep as the warmth from on top of her head was removed. The golden dame unconsciously burrowed her head deep into Droplet’s pelt until she was content once again a soft sleepy smile on her maw. As the night carried on the pair of wolves went unnoticed as Umi’s secret place was unknown to the mongrels that called themselves scouts.

Sunrise crept into the thicket slowly peering through the branches tickling the soft grass below. Umi stirred, but the dame was not yet awake. Still the the same position she was last night, snuggling so close to the brute that accompanied her one spectator would think she was trying to suffocate herself, but Umi was indeed comfortable.

Umi’s ice blue optics blinked open before shutting again as she made a humming sound of discontent not wanting to wake. She inhale deeply, pine, Droplet the first thoughts in her head this must be a dream. Without thinking Umi returned the long lick to the brute’s cheek “Cinnabonnnn..” she purred as much as a wolf could pur before she snapped awake as the face she licked was very real. The golden dame blinked back at Droplet more awake “G-good morning.” Umi didn’t move as she was frozen with yet another blush she didn’t know was there.

Umi shook her embarrassed look off as she stood “Um..” her striking blue orbs landed on the pond behind them “Water would help me to wake up.” Umi offered a smile to change the awkward mood. She could definitely say she was liking this brute a lot, but maybe not say it out loud just yet.

Umi smiled thankful to such a gentlebrute “Thanks cinnabon.” She smirked before lapping the cool morning drink of water finishing with a sigh and splashing the remaining water onto her face to wake her senses Umi shook her pelt. “Alright well, guess we should be off then before sun rises too high.” The golden dame made for an exit of the thicket before turning over her shoulder giving her hideaway since pup hood one last look over. Umi had a melancholy look on her brow wishing she could return, but sadly that won’t be possible.

Umi nodded to Droplet now getting serious, “If we cut across those plains other there we’d make it through, but we’d definitely be detected..” She trailed off thinking “However if we go through that we should be okay..possibly.” The golden dame gestured to an area of scattered pine that became thicker as one travelled farther in. Umi was unsure of how close he wanted to go however.

Vendetta was once again making her rounds, thedark chocolate dame had lost Umi and her beau the other night unable to find them she gave up, but knew they were still in the territory. Ven gave a sly evil grin spotting the two, Vendetta was alone at the moment so she made some effort to concilie herself.

Umi gave a form nod at Droplet’s choice of their continued route also thinking it be better than the latter of the plains. She gave a smile her tassel swaying to and fro “What are you hungry for?” The golden dame was in a better more confident mood as they had put some distance already between her secret thicket and the trail they were making. Umi couldn’t help but the fur at the back of her neck stand as she felt eyes on her and Droplet, her own ice blue optics scanned the area, but picked up nothing...yet. Umi knew someone had to be there her 6th sense was usually never wrong, whoever it was she had a feeling they’d come face to face with them later. The golden dame chose to subside these foreshadowed feelings for now as she looked to the brute padding beside her her thoughts drifting back to food.
