PLOT :: The group has reached their destination, an old farm previously containing horses and cattle. There are fields to run in, stalls to sleep in, and a forest nearby to hunt in. It’s practically heaven, but is it really a hell in disguise?
————————
Kajetan steps out from the forest ahead of his companions, panting tiredly and eyeing their surroundings. Gaze landing on a now abandoned farm, he continues forward at a trot. “Follow me,” he calls over his shoulder, his pads protesting due to the long walk that has yet to officially come to an end.
He doesn’t wait to see if the others accompany him, his head lifting and nostrils flaring as he scents the air, checking to ensure the area is safe for them to rest, and possibly even call home.

Keeping her blue colored eyes looking ahead Ronja soon quicken her pace to a light trot, her floppy ears dangling about while looking around the area. By the looks of it, the land seemed rather nice. There was plenty of open space to do pretty much whatever and with the woods close by hunting would be a easy task. Dare she say it was heaven, though she didn't just fully trust this place. "It seems rather nice. But I'm getting the feeling this place is hiding something, I'm just not sure what." She mumbled slightly while looking about. Twitching her nose as she began to take in the new smells.

He angles an ear back towards the female’s suggestion, steps faltering. “I suppose you’re right,” he muses, continuing to sniff around. “Check the area, see if there’s any humans around. If so, we leave or do anything we can to get them out. Humans aren’t safe anymore.”

Hearing his words the ridgeback dame gave a slight nod of the head before widening her stride to get ahead. Lowering her head down to the earth and grazing her Dudley nose along the soft grass. There wasn't really anything that stuck out, which proved to be a good thing. Just as she seemed about finished she stood tall with her head held high. "I haven't found anything strange yet. Most of the smells here are pretty faint it seems. So whatever was here is surely long gone now."

He nods, looking relieved. Heading for the barn, he quickly becomes more alert. He lets out a few barks, pausing in between each one as he listens for any sign of another creature nearby.

Following after the large male Ronja kept alert of the area. Perking her ears to face forward and flexing her muscles slightly. Her tail had also curled atop her rump as she kept a steady walk behind Kajetan.

He pauses at the barn doors, releasing one final bark. He waits a few moments, sniffing once more to make sure it really was empty. Once certain nothing is likely to happen to them, he looks to Ronja, nods, and then pads inside. “We should be able to rest here a while.”

"Suppose I should go out and try to find the others a meal? I'm sure everyone here is rather hungry from all the traveling we've been doing. There must be some sort of game around close by." She poke softly as she gave her body a quick shake before following the male inside along with everyone. It seemed rather cozy inside, especially with all the old hay covering the hard wooden floors.

He looks back at the mention of a meal, nodding shortly. “Please,” he murmurs, moving to a pile of hay and curling up at the base. “But rest first. I’m sure you’re tired, too.”

She merely shrugged at his comment, shaking her coat and having her ears flop about. "I am a little tired but I can manage for a bit longer. Besides I want to be able to get everyone a meal before it's too late. I don't trust hunting at night." Looking back towards the entrance of the barn she relaxed her stance and allowed her tail to uncurl.

Raven followed behind the group keeping an eye out for any threats. Once they stopped to rest, Raven heard the two talking about hunting and humans. Raven look at Ronja and Kaj. "If needed I can try to hunt at night." She said as she laid down to rest.

"You don't have to do that Raven if you don't wish to. I'm fine on my own really." She spoke in a calm and slightly tired voice as she lowered herself into a sitting position. Her floppy ears facing forward while her tail relaxed and curled against her rump. Her light blue eyes looking out through the entrance of the barn, merely trying to keep watch for awhile. "I could keep watch for you all for a bit until then."
