What's going on in this thread?
Niyazi has been on his own for quite some time, having fled the moment he found his mistress deceased in their home. His master had become hostile on their hunting trip, and the canine was forced to kill him for the sake of his own survival. He seems to be lost, and is currently roaming the countryside (the trees, more accurately) now holding the dogs of the City Roamers.
Can this stranger be trusted? The broad Turkish canine makes his way through the forest, ears pricked and curled tail resting carelessly atop his haunches. He moves at a lazy stroll, oculars perusing his surroundings in a wary manner. After the hostility he'd been met with upon his last trip out with his master, he'd been avoiding man since his departure from his home of three years. He'd grown rather tired of the sight of trees, which he's been sticking to for cover since his flee. He doesn't leave the safety of the flora, however, in case other humans are in the area. He didn't know what had come upon his master, or his now deceased mistress, but he had no intention to find out.
A breath of another canine's scent - no, a group! - catches the swain's attention. His nostrils flare as he takes in the unfamiliar scents, and the brindle shepherd pauses in his place. Should he continue? With a shake of his head and a momentary shuffle of his sizable mitts, he elects not to head directly for them. Why walk right into potential danger? Instead he strays rather close to the barn they'd claimed as their temporary encampment, still remaining within the border of the forest, and searches for something to feed himself.

Raven was getting bored so she looked at the group. "I'm gonna go on a walk, I will be back in a little bit." Raven said as she stood up and started walking.

Odette offered a grunt of acknowledgement as well as a head nod to Raven. The Aussie occupied herself with the weak piles of straw or was it hay? The speckled dame shook her head leaving the puzzle alone. It definitely wasn’t comfortable, but the old scent of livestock fascinated Oddy, she greatly missed herding countless sheep, goats, or whatever her owner had deemed worthy of her time and energy. The piles were scattered around the ground not just inside the barn, but also around it outside in a field. Most likely from the wind. This of course was something Odette had to play in, to occupy her mind from other more grieving thoughts.
Upon exiting the barn and a brief frolic among said field, Odette stopped in her tracks abruptly. Her hackles raised as the wind began to change direction and bring forth a new scent. Another one of them perhaps?

Since taking the barn as their new home, for the time bein that is, the ridgeback dame had grown rather used to the group by now. Though there were times where she would sneak out to have alone time, simply laying outside under the stars and thinking about her past life. Before everything had crumbled. But now being free from it all life was....somewhat ok. She didn't speak much within the group, so there was very little she knew about the members here, though there is always a chance for her to speak. Ronja was just not much of a talker, spending time by herself mostly she wasn't really good with communication.
Silently walking out of the large barn Ronja aimed to head out to perhaps hunt or doing something productive with herself. Despite not having to do anymore shows or trails like she used to, she still felt the need to keep those skills. Practicing whenever she got the chance and such. It all felt like those events where in her blood now, so it was hard to just ignore the need to do such things and stop her habits. Though when walking out her light blue eyes landed on one of the members of the group. Looking down at the thick coated dame and giving her head a tilt, causing one of her floppy ears to hang more. "Is something the matter?"

Odette jumped a bit startled by Ronja, she turned her fluffy figure towards the tall dame, ”Oh! Ello there Ronja. Just me ol sniffer catchin’ somethin’, not sure what...” The speckled dame blinked her mismatch visionaries as they looked outward again. The Aussie continued “Could’ve sworn I caught wind of somethin’..” Odette stood perplexed as her tassel hung low unsure of what she was smelling. Maybe her floppy audits would pick up a sound as the Australian shepherd perked them as much as she could.

Looking down at the smaller female Ronja soon turned her light blue optics towards the direct at which Odette was looking. Breathing in deeply to see if she were able to pick up anything that proved unusual. Though, there was something but it seemed faint. Whatever it was it was either just passing by or maybe it was old scent. She would probably check on it later to find if the source is nearby or not. "If something is out there I can check what it is later. You're welcome to join if you wish too." Before lowering herself to sit the ridgeback female shook out her body, her huge floppy ears hitting against the sides of her face before falling still. "Though it seems we're the only ones up, besides Raven who went out for a bit. Is there anything you want to do?"

Odette hummed in response as she finally turned her attention away from the distant treeline. “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to ‘ave a look see later on.” The Aussie sat down also, but gave Ronja a respectful amount of space. “Well, we definitely can’t eat this hay,” She paused briefly to chuckle. “So ye up to grab a small snack?” Odette’s thick fluffy tassel swayed with excitement and anticipation for Ronja’s answer, spreading some of the hay around.

"I don't mind, I was going to go hunt anyways later on." Pulling herself up to her long limbs she gave her body a decent stretch before being ready to head out. Though normally would go out to hunt on her own, but it would be a good change to allow company. She needed to learn to socialize more anyway, being the introvert she is now wasn't always pleasing. Walking up ahead she stopped to allow the smaller dame to catch up before continuing on with her close behind. Now what? She she start a conversation? Ronja wasn't all that good in that category. It's hard to figure out just what to say and such.

Odette widened her stride to keep up with Ronja. The Aussie wasn’t that short for her young age and breed, however her slightly stocky build and shorter legs didn’t help. No matter, Odette definitely had the stamina to go as far and long as needed. Catching up with Ronja, Odette began what she hoped would be a delightful conversation to pass the time. “So ye ‘ave a favorite ye like to take on?” The speckled dame mentally cured at herself for not specifying she was talking about the hunt.

Perking her huge floppy ears to face forward Ronja glanced down for a quick moment before looking straight ahead again. "If you mean by hunting I don't really have any favorites. I was bred to pretty much go after anything, no matter the size or danger levels." Speaking in her usual soft tone she kept her eyes looking at the many trees and other shrubs surrounding the area. Soon stealing a quick glance towards Odette to see how she was faring. "Along with doing some other...things." Mumbling her last set of words she breathed a faint sigh. "And you?"

Odette perked her floppy audits, she had heard the last mumbled part Ronja said and was curious as to what it was, but she answered her question first. “I was a herding dog, from Ireland as you can hear,” the Aussie referred to her accent “Usually went after a rabbit or some small game in my spare time. Along with other dogs like myself. But when we took on that deer, that was a new experience for me.” Odette chuckled still trotting next to Ronja “I don’t mean to impose, but i couldn’t help but hear you say other things, what else did they have you doing?” Her tone was kind and wary as the speckled dame didn’t want to push Ronja away when they were just getting to know each other, yet her curiosity got the better of Odette.

Niyazi’s tongue lolls from his unyielding maw, ears twitching as he listens for any signs of danger or the group that he’d caught wind of. Rustling leaves catch the lonesome canid’s attention, and the Shepherd is quick to lower his muscular frame to the ground.
Stalking forward with slow, calculated strides, the swain trains his coffee colored oculars on a rather plump fowl. A chicken? He shakes his head, nose wrinkling in a scolding to himself. No, no chicken would be able to survive without man feeding it, surely.
Rather than focusing on identifying his prey, the canine lunges forward, a guttural snarl sounding as he pounces. He’d missed, however, and had to take off at a long-strided sprint to chase his startled prey, which had taken to the air only about a foot higher.

Breathing a faint sigh she glanced over to Odette before continuing to look forward. "Well...I was a show dog before the outbreak. I was born in South Africa and brought over to the United States. The person who owned me trained me for everything within the AKC. And I do mean by everything. From agility to obedience trials. I was ranked top 10 overall and competed against many breeds." Speaking softly about her past she could remember all the days she spent training. "And before you ask, no I was not a house pet. My owner kept me outside during my years of training, shows and events. But I always received proper care."

Raven was hungry as she walked so she decided to hunt for her and maybe bring some back to the others while she was out. Raven saw a rabbit and a bird quite far from the rabbit. Raven crawled closer then jumped killing the Rabbit but the bird flew off. Raven grabbed the rabbit and then looked around or any dangers before putting the rabbit down to rest and eat.

Odette looked up at Ronja, her mismatch brown and ice blue optics soft, and her tone just as friendly. “No judgment bein’ passed here, sounds like you had a good life Ronja.” Odette chuckles “Why I knew a few prized sheep dogs back home in the rolling hills, but it’s to know we’ve got a champion with us hm?” Her thick tassel patted Ronja’s side in comfort as Odette let her hearty chuckle die down.
The Aussie began looking around for signs of prey as well as scents. And there it was again only the faint smell she’d caught earlier was a little stronger this time, something or someone was in the woods with the two dame’s they were not alone. Odette narrowed her odd optics and began sniffing around moving ahead of Ronja a bit. However, to her disappointment Odette could only pick up some rabbits that weren’t too far. She sighed looking at Ronja with a sheepish smile “Ha, my nose must be playing tricks on me, but I did find some rabbit.” Her thick tassel swayed happily.

"What you call a good life I called miserable." Mumbling under her breath she breathe deeply before letting all those memories fade away elsewhere in the back of her mind. Returning to what was going on now. Fearing the small dame speak of potential prey she looked around as her sky blue colored eyes tried to see if there were some around them at the moment. Lifting her head up to sniff the air a few times before exhaling roughly to clear her nose. Though there was something different in the air, much like what she smelt back near the barn. Ot there were someone else around they would need to be careful. And for Ronja she needed to look after Odette, you never know just who could be around. And how big they are. "That's good then, though we should stay alert of this area. Don't stray too far."

His muscles bunch as the Anatolian bachelor catches up to his fleeing prey, before he pushes with his hind-legs and leaps into the air. A sharp bark, accompanied by a growl, escapes the male as he grabs his prey between his canines by the leg, yanking it down with him as he falls back to the ground.
His head shakes viciously when he lands and immediately shifts his grip to the breast of the fowl, ripping deep gashes into the skin and effectively killing it. Happy with his accomplishment, the canine picks his bird up and trots off to lie down somewhere and eat in peace.

Kajetan had been relaxing a distance from the barn, tongue lolling from his maw and breath coming in pants as the sun beats down on his heavy, dark coat. His ears twitch at the distant barking, the tone and voice in general unfamiliar with him.
With a low growl of contempt, the Leonberger heaves his large frame from the ground, before jogging in the direction of the source. No dog was going to trespass on his territory and get out unscathed, not if he had anything to do about it.

Raven finished her kill when she heard a bark quite far from her but close to where the others are. She decided to head towards the bark to see if there was any entertainment for her. Raven smiled as she continued walking.

Odette frowned slightly “Sorry Ronja, well at least that life is past you now.” The Aussie offered an awkward smile then turned her attention back to the reason they were in the woods in the first place. Odette gave a firm nod with a grunt to the taller slim dame on her comment of not straying too far. Nose buried in the grass as she moved about Odette managed to find a hole which she believed to be a small warren, the scent of rabbits was evident as Odette looked to Ronja “Found em.” She called.
Awaiting her new companion’s help, the speckled dame’s floppy audits perked up at the sound of a bark. “I knew it..” Odette said confidently.

Niyazi happily plops down upon making sure the area was clear, ripping into his meal with his curled tail thumping lazily against the ground. His ears remain pricked, listening for any threat.
At the sound of approaching pawsteps he releases a low, long growl in a warning, but they continue as if they hadn’t heard anything.
—————
Kajetan’s lip curls as he nears the stranger’s location, having followed the scent after catching it. He’s now moving at a walk, canines bared and thick coat bristled warily. This was his land, and he wasn’t going to let some intruder walk all over it.
He’s met by a snarling male, roughly his size if not a bit larger, standing over a kill. Kaj doesn’t back down, releasing a bark accompanied by a snarl to make his intention clear. Rather than the reaction he was looking for, the other male responds with an aggressive bark of his own.
