The Hunt

Rose looked over at Ulver still with a worried look in her eyes but nodded. She then looked up at Tom and grimaced with a nod suddenly feeling all of the pain wash over her as the adrenaline from worrying about him overtook her. A suppressed whine escaped her, she tried her best to hide her pain. The fae remained to lean against Tom, "I am a little..." She murmured before looking at Ulver and then at Tom again, "How long has it been? Do we have food?" She questioned her voice low and quiet.

"You should take some before the pain comes back." Tom suggested, "But, I'm so glad you're awake. You really scared me yesterday you know.." Tom adverted his gaze like a whinny pup.

Thomas could hear the quiet movement, he flicked his ears and just barely saw Ulver to who he nodded thanks to. After a few heartbeats, Tom turned back to Rose.

"Ulver, could you get be some pain medicine?" She asked before flattening her ears at what Tom said. Rose frowned and looked at her paws. "I'm so sorry I was so into...I should have paid attention to you're warnings." She gazed up at him like a scolded pup. "It's my fault this happened. I was a bit too focused. Im sorry I scared you." She murmured quietly as she picked at her rabbit. She truly felt sorry. She should have paid more attention, using her nose and being aware of her surroundings. She had never before gotten so into a hunt that all other senses were cut off. Rose guessed it was because she thought she was safe within pack territory, and it was definitely a stupid assumption.

Tom looked back up at the female, "Woah, hey! It's not your fault. It was just unlucky timing for us." Tom attempted to give her a reassuring look.

As Ulver trod up to the two wolves, Tom flicked his ears at what he said. "Yeah. Thanks, Ulver." Tom dipped his head in gratitude and he began to work on the horsetail and applying it gently. The dark male stepped back a bit and allowed Rose to lap up the poppy seeds. "They may make you sleepy, but they'll take away the pain." Tom noted

Rose winced and suppressed a whine when Tom pressed on her wounds. The bear claws had got her good and she definitely hadn't felt pain like this in a long time. She huffed trying to present a strong front to Tom. She didn't want to seem weak to the brute next to her. She didn't like when males viewed her as weak or wanted to do everything for her because she seemed frail. She looked over at Tom, "Thank you so much." She smiled gently and then lapped up the poppy seeds. She chewed on them and looked over at Tom. "Are you hurting at all from your injuries?" She asked as she looked up at him with concerned auburn gold eyes.

Rose grinned at the male beside her despite the pain. "I'd like another rabbit." Her ears then flattened unsure of where Ulver went. The crisp wind blistered by and she let out a shiver and nuzzled her nose into her paws. She gazed over at him. "It's good your wounds weren't so bad." She commented sighing in relief. "Uhmm...would you mind...nevermind..." The female muttered as she looked ahead of her. She couldn't ask the brute to stay next to her until she slept. Rose kind of regretted leaving the makeshift den they created but she didn't want to ask for help moving back to the den. When the adrenaline rush ended she definitely had trouble moving without feeling pain and now with the poppy seeds in her system she'd have a harder time. Also, with an open wound on her back, she felt that much colder.

"Rose, please don't hesitate to ask me for something," Tom lowered his ears, "you're injured and you need rest. Ulver and I are both here to help." Tom flicked his tail and began to move to help the female. The canid slipped up beside the female and gently let her lean on him. "Once you're inside I'll go get us all some more rabbits," Tom noted out loud.

"No, it's fine. I'll go out in a few." Tom turned his head to see Ulver to who he gave a warm smile.
