Tom glanced back with an amused smirk, "Nope-" The male joked, pausing for a second before shaking his head, "I'm just kidding. Quite the opposite actually. We may run into some early snow the further we go up." The virile mused, turning back to the trail and continuing on.

''Don't joke around like that'' he said panting ''Are you trying to kill me- Wait.. snow?'' .. ''Greaaaattt my favorite!'' there was a small bit of exaggeration in there, and a hint of truth.

Tom chuckled, "Pfft- Just walk." The virile paused for one second, "We should try and get to the top by moonlight, it'll have the best place to set up camp." He mumbled, before glancing up at a bird, which was perched on a tree and cawing, seemingly laughing the wolves below. Tom growled before glancing back at the packmates, "Well... Since we have a lot of groups to cover... Race you to that bluff," Tom called, nodding up to a rocky overhang further up on that mountain. And, with that, Tom shot off, his tongue lolling from the side of his mouth.

''Hey thats not fair!-'' Droplet said shooting after him, catching up, but not quite at his side. ''Last one there is a rotten egg'' he muttered slowly, chucking as he recalled the human puppies (Droplet doesnt know what children are, so he calls them puppies) words.

Vixen shock her head and ran after them. She caught up to them and she smiled and ran faster.

Droplet saw Vixen catching up, he tried to run faster, but his build wasn't meant for that. He sighed slowly, booking it. Sadly, Vixen had passed him after a few seconds. Breathlessly Droplet let a small amused growl ''Cheater'' he teased.

Tom glanced back, seeing that Vixen had passed Droplet. The small canine let out an amused bark before making a sharp turn along the path and continuing to bound up the slope, the rocky overhang coming into view just up ahead.

Vixen smiled and she had no trouble keeping up with tom but he was still ahead of her by a nose so she knew Tom would be first no matter what. She looked back at Droplet and giggled a little then she looked forward as she ran.

Tom came to a sudden halt, hit paws skidding in the soil as he reached the landmark. Quickly, he reached around, letting out a victorious bark. "C'mon!" He mused, mostly to Droplet who was quite a bit further back.

Vixen stopped after Tom stopped and she smiled as she saw Droplet quite behind them. "Hurry up Droplet." Vixen said smiling.

Tom shook his head, letting out an amused chuckle. "I suppose I should tell you why I wanted to get here so quickly," The male changed the subject, lowering his tone. The small Canidae turned to look South. They were just over the tops of the trees so they could see past them and out onto the terrain below. Tom gulped slightly, looking out onto the plain, dappled with pine trees, and a lake that stretched out through the main part of the forest. There were several clearings though, littered with rock clusters perfect for hunting near. "There," He began, raising his head, "That's my old pack's home." He finally said.
After a few seconds of silence, he spoke again. "It'll take us a day to travel down the mountainside. But once we do, I'm going to have you guys set up camp and wait there. I don't know what remains of my old pack nor the disease. I'll go in alone before howling for you." He finished what he wanted to stay, and turned back to his packmates.

Droplet nodded slowly in understanding ''Alright, lets go before I pass out'' the brute said jokingly, but a hint of truth in there. ''Dont worry Tom, if anything, its probably gone''

Tom nodded, "You're right. Let's at least make it to the top of the path before nightfall and set up camp there. C'mon." He mused, continuing up the hill at a comfortable pace.

Droplet padded up the hill up to Tom's side softly humming. ''So pretty'' he smiled softly, trying to take Tom's mind off of the dead pack.
