Once a few years ago during a storm a abandoned pup is found alone. While in her pack a yearling struggles to fit in and learn the ways of healing. what happens the next year shocks them.

Rain fell from the sky spattering onto the road next to the shivering ball of fur. "Oh!" a voice gasped. before the ball of fur could react she was lifted off the ground and moving. she scanned her surroundings carefully. 'Trees...' she thought looking at the large towering plants. 'and...Birds' she thought again sniffing the air. 'where am i' she thought to herself looking around. "Mom?" she wailed. "don't worry little pup." a voice said. she looked down behind her to find paws much larger then her or her mothers running across the dense forest undergrowth.

"The rain ruined the herb supply!" a older wolf barked her muzzle opening up enough to show the males teeth. "uh." Bird didn't dare speak to her mentor as of the current moment. "Healer its fine!" Bird said trying to calm her mentor down "I can go get more herbs and such while you find the good ones!" She offered. Healer growled at her. "No." he snapped at her. His eyes where filled with anger. "I told you to Put them away!" he growled. "I should have you put as a hunter for all I care!" He snapped "I wouldn't mind that." she whispered to herself. "I NEED HEALER AND BIRD!" a call from outside startled her from her daydreaming of elk hunts and rabbit chases. She peeked outside to find a pup. "Warm her up." Healer commanded as he walked by Bird. "Yes sir!" she said racing over to the pup. she started licking her franticly. her wet fur only getting warmer by the action. As healer came to the pups side Bird stepped away and let him take over. 'I don't like this job' she thought in her head the forest scents calming her "I want to be a hunter!" she complained to her mother. Her mother stared at her. "If that's what you want dear." she said hesitantly. "Thank you!" Bird Said nuzzling her mothers shoulder.

Stormwing walked through the forest careful not the wake any other animals near by. her red fur puffed out as she walked. The sunlight leaked into the forest from openings through the leaves. She looked back to see hail still following her. "remember." he said. "Ears, tail and body low to her ground. don't let your tail drag and try not to step on a twig or something." he said nudging her towards the rabbit. She did as he said and as she neared the rabbit pounced on it holding it down as she bite its neck blood spilling from it. "Thank you for your sacrifice." she whispered to the dead rabbit her eyes shut. hail picked up the rabbit and walked away. "Nice catch!" A new voice said. Both wolves stared at the newcomer as she walked over to them. "Thanks BirdHunter!" She said. "I might have my name changed to RabbitPounc or QuickPaw!" she joked. "That has happened to wolves in the pack before so be careful of what you say sis!" Hail warned with a laugh. "Sure it has!" Stormwing replied to him. "Lets go home so I can ask mom if that's true!" she said racing ahead of her siblings.

(1 year later at the 'Time of Age' ceremony.)
BirdHunter Watched her foster sister step forward to be given her choice of staying or leaving. BirdHunter shivered the forest had been to still, to quiet for the past few weeks. The only sound was the sound of BirdHunter's mother and fathers voices asking StormWing the questions essential to this ceremony. BirdHunter caught sight of a pair of glowing eyes and got up from her place muscles tense nd ready to attack what ever had been in the shadows. "BirdHunter! sit down!" "Ack! Bird sit down pleas!" "I cant see now BirdHunter!" Complaints rippled across the camp as bird hunter blocked the view of her pack members. the bustle that had suddenly arose had given her enough time to watch the creature move closer. She snarled still looking at the pair of glowing eyes. in return a hiss from what was known as a mountain lion sounded above her parents. "BirdHunter." Bird looked at her mother slightly "Yes?" she asked her. her ears Alert. "what is it?" her mother asked. Before BirdHunter could give warning The large cat sprang for the wolves. "RUN!" Hail Barked pushing the only surviving little pup out of the den. BirdHunter ran for the entrance then looked back at the large cat that sliced its claws into her mothers skull. 'NO' she thought. "RUN BIRD!" another voice yelled at her. n she obeyed not wanting to live the same fate her mother did. she glanced behind her to see her younger sisters, Little Pup and StormWing, behind her Stormwing raced past her. "Storm!" Bird called to her sister who stopped to look at her. "I will find you again. Now go towards to ocean. I will meet you again! I-I promise!" she said nuzzling her sister then pushing her towards the east. "I WILL FIND YOU AGAIN!" BirdHunter called after her. She didn't wait another second until she raced away towards the south. As she ran the ground below her gave way and before she had time to react. BirdHunter was in a river in the bottom of a gorge. 'No I cant die here.' she thought as the water pulled her away. 'you wont die here' a voice in her head told her. 'you will be just fine.' it said. she trusted the voice and let the water carry her to the unknown.

(that's it for their backstory's! I should of had more detail on the few months Bird had with her mate and foster pack. but im to lazy to do that!)
