Note to anyone who is coming to check out this thread: This is a roleplay between Tom and Shiryo. I suppose you could join if you want, but it is mostly based around Shiryo and Tom  It was early morning. The sun was just peeking over the mountains tops, casting dappled light down across the valley. Tom was lying below a tree, his head resting gently on his paws as he stared up at the pale pink, morning sky. The male let out a gentle yawn, flicking his ears forward to see a bird cawing from a nearby tree.

Shiryo leaned by a tree half asleep, he had gotten back late from scouting out the territory and therefore was a little tired. His claws sunk into the soft earth as he suddenly stretched.

Tom's let out a small grumble of annoyance to the bird as he tried to blink the sleep from his eyes. The small Eta yawned gently, finally deciding to sit up and stretch his front legs before getting up fully, shaking the grass and dust that had settled on his dark fur. Glancing around the relatively empty camp, Tom eventually spotted Shiryo near a tall tree. Tom stared for just a moment, a thoughtful glint in his eyes, before trodding over to the Upsilon with a gentle bark of greetings, "Mornin' you look tired. Up late?" He asked, taking a seat next to the blueish furred male.

"You bet, I spent half the night tracking a bear in our territory." Shiryo smiled at the smaller male, "How did you sleep?"

Tom let out a soft, sympathetic chuckle, "Aw, I'm sorry." He mused, before closing his eyes and heaving a gentle sigh. "I suppose I slept fine. Slightly restless, but not as bad as you I suppose." The male glanced over, offering a slight smile, "Have you gotten some sleep at least?" The virile asked a hint of concern pricking into his words.

Tom chuckled, "Oh- I suppose you're right," The male looked away slightly embarrassed. Eventually, the male let out a low sigh of boredom, "We should do something," He started, flicking his tassel in the grass, "I'm bored.".

"Like what though..." Shiryo said with a pondering tone, his auditories flicking at small sounds as he tried to come up with something to do.

Tom shrugged, "Maybe go for a walk? Or maybe go swimming before winter gets here." He suggested the first two things that came to his head, which in his opinion, weren't half bad.

Tom smiled, suddenly standing up and shaking his pelt. "I'm up for swimming as well. If you want to. We can head down to the river and get there before sun-high." He mused, flicking his audits forward and offering a warm smile
