Justice

Coal was balc on his paws in a ready stance, but was taken aback once Droplet had rung him about like a dusty deer skin. His teeth still bared as the black brute growled his green optics on Droplet closely the darted to loo at the entrance of the den, Coal knew he wouldn’t make it there, but he had a different idea. Since he caught a new scent.

Umi’s hackles were raised at the intense encounter going on right before her eyes. Coal had darted for Willow who had appeared in front of the den to make sure everything was alright only to be tackled by Coal by surprise as the black brute stood over her. Willow looked terrified as she tried to calm her breathing due to her weak heart, the cream dame whined as Coal pressed his claws to her neck and he snarled to Droplet “And haven’t you heard, tough guy? Work smarter, not harder.” Coal never took his gaze off of the golden-black brute as his grip on Willow was tight.

Umi growled she wanted to help her friend and love, but her side was throbbing. She took to her paws anyway now beside Droplet, showing just as much aggression she could muster.

Umi heard Droplet , but didn’t get the chance to question why he was apologizing. She was pinned and was about to struggle when she realized what Droplet was doing. Umi quickly changed her demeanor to a mixture of growling and whining, but she didn’t speak choosing to look worried towards Coal, all fake of course.

Coal growled, it was now a battle of wits to see who would release or choke their dames first, but the black brute wasn’t good as suck games. Coal nervously thought of the consequences of Umi or Willow actually being hurt, not for the dames’ sake but his own. Vendetta would have him killed if not do it herself. Coal visibility gulped as he still stood above Willow, but with less determination. Taking this as her chance Willow kicked and clawed struggling to remove herself from Coal’s reach. In turn the black brute hissed at the sting, he’s eyes weren’t on Droplet anymore.

Umi waited unnervingly still as she didn’t know what Coal would do. The golden dame offered a quick small smile to Droplet before returning her attention to poor Willow.

Coal growled in frustration before he kicked Willow away from himself towards Droplet and Umi making to leave the den without a word. The black brute was definitely not having a good start to his day at all, and it was about to get worse.

Vendetta was making her rounds with a couple of brutes when she heard a tussle towards the area she was already heading. The chocolate dame quickened her pace as did her male companions, a smirk was on Ven’s maw she had a feeling about who was the cause of this ruckus.

Umi got up slowly “No that was a brilliant idea Droplet, it’s not your fault about my side.” She smiled reassuring the brute by her, giving Droplet a gentle rub on his side. “I gave that Coal character what was coming to him anyhow, he won’t walk right on that paw for weeks.” Umi huffed glaring at the den entrance.

Willow also stood and shook the dirt from her pelt, she had heard Droplet’s question. She rubbed her neck with her paw soothing the muscles “There is moss and soft grasses by the river you were at earlier Droplet. I’m not much of a medic but those should help.” Willow looked at Umi’s side then downcast her gaze, this was all her fault, her friend shouldn’t have come here. Umi noticed Willow’s sadness “What’s wrong Willow?”

Willow looked up again, but this time tears were in her grey optics “This was my fault, you both didn’t need to defend me yesterday, my only friend is hurt. You both got into a fight with Coal. I’m so sorry.” Willow looked distressed. Umi was about to speak assuring Willow everything was fine when Willow stopped her. “Someone is coming, Vendetta no doubt.” The cream dame looked worried “When she hears of this she’ll take my pups.” Willow looked to Droplet and Umi “I’m sorry, but I must go to them. I hope you can forgive me.” With her head hanging low Willow dashed off to her den.

Umi was alert now “Ugh what could that Vendetta possibly want now.” She was frustrated, all Umi wanted was to sit with Droplet, get something on her wounds, and talk to poor Willow.

Vendetta soon stood at the entrance of the den “And what have we here dearies?” Her tassel lashed about and the brutes by her stood silently only glaring. Umi approaches Vendetta speaking up “Nothing of your concern we were just leaving for a bit to—“ Vendetta cut Umi off “None of my concern? Did you forget this is my territory Umi hm?” Umi glared at the chocolate dame “We don’t need a conflict Vendetta, can you just move?!” Umi was getting anxious she didn’t like this trapped feeling.

Umi watched to see if Vendetta would take the bate still glaring at the chocolate dame. Vendetta growled lowly “Get her out of here, both of you have limited time here now. I’ll have a few words with Coal.” Vendetta eyed the two before whipping around to leave, she was in no mood for nonsense.

Umi sighed after Vendetta and her little posse “Looks like we won’t be here much longer Droplet. However long that my be I think we need to speak with Willow.” The golden dame paused to wince at her wound “After this of course.” Umi gave a half smile gesturing to her side.

Vendetta looked over her shoulder at Droplet’s words, her gold optics narrowed and tassel lashing “Just fix her and leave, we don’t need another scuffle do we now dearie?” Vendetta had her own knowledge of herbs around here and she used it when she felt the need on other, if she wanted them around. However those two didn’t need to know that, plus the chocolate dame was getting irritated by Droplet’s poking about saying he’d heard heartellings. She growled once more “Both of you leave once you’re done. And Umi if I even catch whiff of you around here again..”

Umi glared back at at Vendetta, growling was unnecessary, her ice blue optics would shoot daggers if looks could kill. “We get it Vendetta, the whole leave and never return speech isn’t necessary.” The golden dame’s tassel lashed around. Umi knee she wouldn’t be able to come back after this. Sadly she couldn’t bring Willow and her pups with them which was her only regret about Umi’s once lovely home.

Vendetta huffed turning tail and maw to the sky and she gracefully padded away with her little “guards”. Umi looked at Droplet feeling despair she spoke low “Poor Willow...”

Umi huffed “Thank heavens she’s gone.” The golden dame then looked to Droplet “I think we should deal with this wound before we clash with anyone hm?” She chuckles bringing back part of what her lover said earlier. Umi loves how protective and sometimes just plain masculine he was even if Droplet didn’t realize it.

Willow was back in her den unaware that Vendetta had paid a visit to Umi and Droplet. Thankfully she was being left alone with her pups for now. She hoped the two lovers didn’t hate her by now.

Umi chuckles “Only wolves I know here are you, Willow, and that god awful Vendetta.” Umi shook her pelt “Looks like I’ll be relying on your expertise, Theta Droplet.” She smirked at him which turned into a laugh, she soon glanced outward again at the den entrance “Every other good wolf I’ve known here is either passed or left sadly..” Umi trailed off and she sat down.

Should she ask Droplet about them possibly bringing Willow and her pups out of here , or would it be too much to ask? Umi was confident they could sneek them out of this horrible place, even in broad daylight.

Umi’s smile returned “Alright, you be safe as well, I love you too.” Umi nuzzled him back. Her maw was flushed, Umi mentally swore she’d never got over this. After watching Droplet pad into the forest safely Umi padded down into Willow’s den.

“Hello? Willow it’s Umi.” The cream coated dame further inside came up to Umi a weak smile on her “Hello Umi,” Willow paused looking at Umi’s side and gasped “I’m so sorry!” She broke down again “This is all my fault, Coal wouldn’t have attacked you if I didn’t refuse him in the first place. And I swear I didn’t tell him your name!” Umi had a sad smile on her “Willow you don’t have to beat yourself up about it, Droplet will be here soon to patch me up and I have a feeling Vendetta was the one who gave my name away.” The golden dame paused as she sat by Willow who was also sitting but with her head hung low, Umi continued “Willow look up, its alright. I don’t blame you and I’m sure neither does Droplet. Hell im glad you came to help us earlier, and that you stood up to Coal yesterday. That filthy brute never deserved you.”! Umi nuzzles Willow tenderly “Besides, I know my old friend too well for that nonsense.” Umi smiled brightly and Willow was now making eye contact with her.

“How are your pups?” Umi asked. Willow’s grey orbs danced at the question “Still strong, better than me..would you like to know their names?” Willow always wanted someone to talk to about her pups it made her happy. Most of the dames here kept to themselves or were just as rotten as Vendetta. Umi beamed “I’d love to, there are four right?” Willow nodded bringing Umi farther into her den. A soft looking pile of fur lay in the back whining contently.

Willow spoke up “The all cream one, her name is Sundrop. The all black one her name is Leviathan and the twin males that are black with cream underbellies are Tsunami and Ame.” She concluded. Umi looked to Willow curiously “Ame, after my brother?” Willow smiled warmly “You and he were always so kind to me growing up. I miss him, and your sisters too, Yue and Tsuki.” Umi chuckled “As pups I think you had your own little crush on him didn’t you?” Willow looked away “No I didn’t, he was just a good friend like you...my crush was actually on your eldest sister Tsuki.” Willow spoke softly now as she admitted her feelings “I only wish we could see them all again.” Umi smiled warmly “One day maybe we will..” Willow looked at Umi curiously “We? My pups and I can’t leave here...what are you thinking Umi?”
