She hadn't eaten a good meal for days. "Perhaps I could beg." the dame thought to herself. "No. Jen' said never to beg. It isn't lady like." Alika added on, scolding herself. The white dog continued to walk, quietly observing the abandoned buildings overgrown with vines. Alika let out a small bark, hoping to draw attention. She had always enjoyed attention. "Anyone?" she said, waiting for a response. Where had everyone gone? Hunger, was not the only feeling that had gnawed at her stomach. It had been the feeling of loneliness.

Kito prowled through the abandoned city, his ears twitching for any sign of other dogs or any roamers in his surroundings. His lean frame stalked along the sidewalks as his aqua green eyes scanned the buildings. The large dog was on full alert, his soft yet demanding tone spoke out "What a ghost town.." A small sigh emitted from his maw. His maw gnarled up at the fowl stench of the city, he was used to the fresh pine smell he was born into. "Anyone out there?" His bark echoed and bounced off the walls as he attempted to see if any dogs still lived here.

Alikas ear twitched at the bark. Her heart lifted. "I'm here, I am here!" she barked happily. Almost instantly, she turned around and ran to the sound. A larger dog, probably a stray. "Hello!" Alika chuckled moving closer, giving a warm smile. "Who are you?" she added, wagging her tail. "You don't believe how long i've been waiting to talk to someone!"

Kito's ears twitched frantically as he heard the excited yelps of the dog. He grinned down at the dog, "Hello!" Relief was found in his tone, "Thank god dogs are actually still around here, I'm Kito by the way." He let the words flow from his mouth as if they had been a planned speech. "What about you, what's your name?" He asked, his visionaries shimmering with curiosity as he slightly wagged his tail at the thought of a possible friend.

Yukiko padded through the city; the city is as it was before, just devoid of the warmth that made it worthy of that term. It is a collection of buildings, roads laid like a carpet for a queen that will never come. She looked for any signs of other roamers but had come up empty-handed. Normally she liked peace and quiet but with the abandoned city this was just too peaceful for her. She scanned the buildings for any signs but still nothing. "Hello?" she called out, her voice soft but strong. "Is anyone there?" She was beginning to miss the business of the city.

"I know right! I was just looking for any signs of life - possibly food. I'm starving" The dame said slowly, admittingly. Well no. She wasn't really starving, just a bit hungry. "Nice to meet you, Kito" She said, with a bit of enthusiasm. "I am Alika." .. "I've never been to this side of town. Is it always this empty?" Alika asked, tilting her cranium a bit. "Its been oddly quiet lately.. I dont know if I like it"
The female turned "Did you hear that?"

His audits twitched to a bark, "Seems we aren't alone.." His oculars started to look around the empty streets that seemed to have died along with many humans, "Must be another dog, all the humans are dying out." He explained in the briefest way possible "Apparently something hit and wiped out almost the entire human population.." His eyes filled with a bit of sadness. "Either way, lets see if we can find where that sound is!"

Alikas ears went flat as she heard death. Death was sad.. Not like the dame had ever lost someone very close, or had she? "What? How do you know?" she asked, trying to be a bit cheerful. "My owner hasn't returned home after my last performance." .. "Maybe shes out shopping. She loves shopping!" Alika giggled. Her face soon got serious and nodded. "Okay" .. "We are over here!" the small Shiba Inu called out to the lone voice.

He managed to stifle out a chuckle as he keenly listened for any sort of response, "I only knew after my family disappeared." A small huff emitted from his maw. His visionaries shooting around the emptiness of the city to see if any dog would come into sight. Kito hated the silence and stench of the old city and the buildings that were laid to waste, his gaze shot to an old rusted car before looking ahead of them once more.

Swiveling her ears, Yukiko turned to where she heard a voice. She ran in the direction thinking 'Thank god I'm not the only one' Turning a corner, she found two more dogs, a Shiba Inu and an Alaskan Malamute mix. Yukiko sighed in relief. "I'm not the only one in this city." she trotted up to the two dogs, noting how larger the Malamute mix was compared to her but didn't exactly care at the moment.

Alika wagged her tail happily, turning to the white female "I know right! I thought I was the only one." .. "I hate how this city is so.. quiet." the dame held a straight face, "Creepy almost." .. "Oh! I'm Alika, and this is my friend Kito" she barked happily. "Who are you?" Alika asked, her optics studying the new dog. "I love your pelt, its gorgeous. You kind of look like me.. I think" .. "Right Kito?"

"Yeah, you could say it's similar." He shot a gaze down at Alika before speaking once more, "Well atleast there's other dogs in this place." You could hear the slight joy in his tone as he almost huffed it out. "Nice to meet you." He welcomingly smiled at the white femme that had appeared before them.

Blinking a little at the smaller dog's enthusiasm, Yukiko lightly shook her head. "Nice to meet you as well and my name is Yukiko." She lowered one ear than perked up the other. "I guess our pelt does look similar, and yeah. It's too quiet here and I was so used to it being so busy." She glanced around at the buildings then back to the other two dogs.

"Yes, the silence is quite eerie.." He sighed, his maw gnarling at the smell, "And it smells fowl around here." Kito sighed out. "Things really have gone downhill since the humans died." His aquatic gaze glanced at a large building with moss infesting its side. His ears flattened at the thought of the humans death, it was one thought bad for him since his fathers death from Lyme disease. "But, at least there is tons of shelter."

"Im so use to millions of people cheering my name. Now everything is so.. blah" Alika nodded, her face saddening up. "Lets go look in these buildings, maybe a nice cozy bed.. or even food!" the dame continued, starting to walk towards the entrance of the red buildings. "Or people" she mumbled to herself.

"I'm just used to being surrounded by trees." His large yet lean frame followed after the noticeably smaller dog towards the entrance to the old decaying building. His audits twitched stayed erect and alert as he cautiously prowled alongside Alika. "Perhaps we can create some sort of shelter for ourselves in here, for all we know this city isn't completely safe." He huffed out random advice with a yawn.

Yukiko nodded in agreement. "That is true." she then became interested in what Alika had just said. "Humans chanting your name huh? Reminds me of my championship days." She sighed, blissful then began to follow the Shiba Inu. With what she had said about food made Yukiko's stomach growl a little. "And food does sound nice."

Alikas audits perked at Yukios comment. "You preformed too? Oh my gosh! Twins." The female entered the building, but quickly backed out. "You can go first" she chuckled nervously. "Not that i'm scared or anything. I mean-- you're big and strong, soo.." Alika said, hiding under the larger sire.
In attempts to change the subject, the dames eyes widened. "Maybe we should explore first then make a shelter, so we have options. That means we can stick together." she added, cheerfully. "We could make a group... aww shucks what is that word called? Wolves are in it all the time." ... "Packers I think"

"Packs." He corrected her with a slight eyeroll as she backed out, he shrugged before confidently prowling into the darkness of the buildings entrance. The innards of the building smell at least half decent and old furniture sat alone in the middle of the room. He barked to see if it would alert anything, but alas, nothing seemed to unveil itself at the loud noise of the brutes rumbling vocals.
"Seems clear, come on in you two." Kito glanced back at the two females before slipping further into the room and weaving in and out of the strewned furniture. He felt his paws step across a slightly weak floorboard and so he avoided stepping there as much as possible. "This place isn't so bad.." Kito sniffed around for any sign of food, hoping and praying that there was a little bit conveniently lying around in the darkness of the room.

Yukiko chuckled at Alika. She was quite amusing. Yuki followed Kino inside the building, minding her steps on the floorboard and scrunching her nose a little at the smell. It wasn't that bad of a smell but it wasn't great either. Even though the place seemed safe, she kept her guard up regardless. Could be her paranoia acting up but you can't blame her in this type of situation.
