Lucy heard Reika and ran out of the den fast. "Mom, Rei needs you fast. she looked like she is inn pain." Lucy yelled then headed backing the den. Vix got up and ran into the den. Vix saw Rei in pain and she knew. "Yakone, you and Anik get the pups out now." Vix said to the boys. Vix looked at Rei. "Breathe Rei, when I say push you push got it?" Vix asked her. Rei nodded evening her breathing, her heart still racing for what was to come. "Can you get some Rasberry leaves?" She asked, softly. Her belly tightened and she whined again from the intense pain and waited for it to subside. "They'll help ease the pain and stop bleeding." Rei explained. |

Vix nodded. She didn't know much about herbs but she got hurt a lot so she knew what each herb looked like at least. She raced out of the den fast to find the leaves. She found them not far from the den. She carefully picked a few of them and brought them back. "Here ya are, Now then lets get those pups out of ya." Vix said as she lightly pushed the leaves to Rei.

Rei nodded as she gulped down the herbs, the pain akready subsiding but not going away. "I just want this to be over with." She said, breathing through clenched teeth.

Vix checked Rei's breathe then Vix looked at Rei "Push, Rei." Vix said as she sat next to Rei.

Flicking an ear in acknowledgement to Vix's words, Rei did just that, a growl of pain emitting from her muzzle and whining soon after.

Vix saw one of her pups come out. "good, now breathe. " Vix said as she picked up the pup and started to clean it. She knew it would be cold so she laid down and placed it by her until Rei was done. Once the pup was fine, she looked at Rei and waited for Rei to calm down again before continuing.

Calming her breathing, Rei closed her eyes. "Is the pup alright?" She asked, tired.

"Yeah, you are doing really good. Now just focus on breathing, Rei." Vix said as she looked at Rei's pup then at Rei. Vix let Rei rest for a bit before continuing.

Krystal was sitting a few wolf-lengths away from were Rei was giving birth. She shuffled her paws in the snow anxiously. ' Is the pup gonna survive through winter? Is Rei going to be okay? I hope shes not in any pain.' Thoughts started racing through her mind as she sat in the cold snow waiting inpatiently for news on whats happening.

Rei nodded slowly, her eyes half-closed and felt as though her energy was constantly being drained out of her. "I don't think I want to do this again." She said and a sudden contraction hit and she groaned.

"It was will pass and trust me it's worth it, Rei." Vix soothed. Vix wrapped her tail around the pup lightly. "Ok, Rei breathe." Vix said as she looked at Rei.

Rei was trying to breathe through the pain, but it was difficult considering all the contractions that she was experiencing. "I'm trying to." She said.

"Ok, now push again, Rei." Vix said. She hoped the pups would be ok in this weather. Meanwhile Lucy came over by the den and tilted her head hearing, Rei's whining. Lucy wanted to step into the den.

Another pup same and Vix did the same to it as she did to the first. Vix looked at the two cuddle into her then at Rei. "You are doing great Rei. Just a few more times." Vix soothed.

Rei's eyes widen at that but sighed. "Shinken ni?" She asked, accidentally switching to Japanese and not really all that shocked. "Watashi wa kore ga owaru matsu koto ga dekimasen."

another one came and Vix decided to let Rei rest before doing it again. She looked at the three pups cuddling. "While you rest, think of names for your pups, Rei." Vix said hoping it would help take her mind off the pain for at least a little while.

"I feel like their names would fit when I see them." Rei said, fully agreeing with the idea of resting even if its for a few minites.
