~It is early spring in April. Things are starting to warm up, birds can be heard singing their melodious odes to the early afternoon sun as it creeps higher still; the pale blue sky dappled with clouds, a tell tale sign that fair weather is here to stay. And what better timing then for the alphas to have finished a long journey back home. Umi and Droplet have arrived back into White River, but not alone. Accompanying them are some new faces and little paws, waiting curiously to see what White River has to offer them.~
Umi breathed a sigh of relief after gently placing Sundrop, one of Willow's pups, on the ground as they had finally made it back to the densite without any trouble. Her ice blue optics starred at her den in longing as she was just about to head there to rest. The golden dame looked to her long time friend Willow "Will you all be alright, do you need anything?" Keeping appearances was one thing, but four pups constantly running around your paws. how did Willow manage? Umi shook her thoughts away putting her attention on the cream pelted dame.
Willow shook her head, "Please rest Umi, you and Droplet have already done so much for us just by giving my family a new home. I know you both must be tired from the trip." Her gentle grey hues smiled just as brightly as Willow's maw. "We'll be alright, just need to get settled is all," Willow paused as if she forgot something "Oh! And please just maybe no announcing us? I know it sounds odd, but I'd rather the others get to know us on their own time." The timid dame spoke and Umi offered her a kind smile and a nod before heading off to her and Droplet's den.
The pups looked around in awe of their new living space. Ame and Tsunami were already sniffing around tussling each other, while Leviathan acted as "guard" over her younger sister and mother who lay cooling in the shade of a tree.

Beech was perhaps the first one to notice the new arrivals. She crept closer to the edge to get a better look, then shook her head and hopped off her perch, landing easily and approaching Leviathan. She held herself stiffly, but offered a tail wag in greeting.

Leviathan narrowed her deep violet orbs as she scanned the set of larger mits before her, the black pup slowly continued her gaze all the way up to Beech’s maw. Levi puffed her small chest outward trying to look big, but she did notice this new dame’s tassel swayed, so she was friendly, Levi observed. The inky black pup decided Beech was worthy of her time and speech, “Hello, who are you?” Levi was quick to get to the point yet her high pitched tone that all pups held peeked through. Her violet hues widened in wonder at seeing someone new, yet Levi turned to stop her tiny tassel from wagging. She wanted to look cool.

Beech sketched a beech nut in response to the question, then tilted her head at the pup. She sidestepped to keep one of the two younger pups from colliding with her back legs.

Anik trots back into the camp, two hares hanging from his jaws by their throats. His ears twitch at the sound of new voices, accompanied by the flaring of his nostrils to take in the unfamiliar scents. His lip curls warily, and he turns his head to look in that direction. He wouldn't be supplying food for more wolves, would he? Surely the Alphas wouldn't give them more mouths to feed when spring was only just returning?
With a shake of his head he pads off toward the den of his leaders, electing to ensure they were fed before he worried about himself or his equals. They had the bigger jobs, and they'd probably need full bellies to get everything done. He pauses silently near the opening, dropping his kills in front of his mitts. He announces his presence with a sharp bark, ears shoving forward to listen for any response.
He wasn't ignoring the newcomers, simply waiting to see if they were any threat to the way things run before welcoming them with open paws.

Leviathan tilted her head at Beech’s dirt drawing, couldn’t she speak? Maybe not. The black pup studied the draw curiously some more before she spoke, too confidently for her own good “Your name is nut!” Levi stated more than asked. She was feeling confident she was correct, that is until her mother chimed in with a warm chuckle. “Her name is Beech darling.” Willow spoke up as she soon sat up from her shady spot.
Leviathan noticeably shrunk in disappointment and embarrassment in herself. Darn so close! She thought. Seeing her sister looking down, Sundrop trotted up to her older sister whispering in her right audit, if you could call it a whisper since it was a little loud, “Tell her who you are too.” The creamy pup’s golden hues eyed Beech silently as if she wasn’t too interested, yet didn’t want to be an outcast. “I’m Sundrop.” She spoke before retreating back to her mother’s limbs. Leviathan huffed as she too introduced herself “And I’m Leviathan, or Levi. She’s my sister Sunny. And that’s my mom Willow.” Not to be outdone by anyone and even though Sundrop already spoke, Levi took it upon herself to introduce those near her proudly as her confidence returned “Oh! And those two tumbling furballs are my brothers Ame and Nami.” Willow chuckles at her eldest last comment.
Umi was laying sleepily in her den when her audits perked at the sound of Anik’s bark. She stood with a stretch and approached the entrance to see he had brought her and Droplet a couple of hares. The golden dame smiled “Thank you Anik,” She spoke with a slight yawn. Umi’s peripheral visión picked up Beech and the others conversing, this brought another smile to her maw as she turned her attention back to Anik “Have you met our newest members yet?” Umi waited to see what the brute’s response was.

His head dips in a silent acknowledgement to her thanks, before turning so that he can eye the newcomers once more. "No, Alphess," he responds, his voice the once again usual monotone. Just when he'd come out of his shell, he began to distance himself from his packmates once more. He looks back at his superior, an apparent frown on his maw. "Hadn't noticed them." Though it of course, was a lie. He'd noticed, he just didn't care in the slightest. He couldn't care less that there were more pups running around; he was hardly around the pack pups as it was. Hell, he'd hardly approach Reika's if they weren't near her.
While the pups played a big part in why he didn't care, it wasn't the only reason. He heaves a heavy sigh, looking back toward the unfamiliar wolves. "I suppose you want me to meet them?"

Umi knew Anik wasn’t in the best of moods regularly, especially with the passing of his father Yakone at the end of winter. The golden dame didn’t want to push the seemingly “hard” brute standing before her, yet Umi didn’t want him to be sad or distant. “Whenever you’re ready to introduce yourself of course,” Umi chuckled. How could anyone not notice them, especially the young male pups playing so loudly? There goes her beauty rest she mentally sighed. Continuing on, she spoke with no eagerness in her tone; her ice blue hues locked with his own when she spoke again. “Are you well Anik?” A new tone of concern was laced with her otherwise cheerful voice.

Vix was laying in her den when she heard paw steps coming into the den along with some unfamiliar scents so she decided to come out and see what it was all about. Vix saw a mother with her pups. Vix watched from outside her den as Beech was being careful of the pups. Lucy and Blade got out from inside the den. They walked under Vix as they looked at the new pups and the older wolf. Vix looked at the two and smiled then looked back at the pups and wolf.

"Fine," he responds shortly, heterochromatic gaze shifting back to meet the Alphess'. He paws at the two hares in a gesture to eat before turning and padding off, uninterested in carrying any sort of conversation at the moment. His crooked tail flicks about carelessly, jaws parting in a yawn.

Beech nodded, giving a little huff of laughter as the pup misguessed her name. She wagged her tail to show it was fine and to greet Sunny. She nodded at the names of the others before adding tentacles to her nut and nodding to it.

Umi sighed as her attempt failed and the brute padded away, he was a hard wolf to crack, maybe Reika would have better luck. She thought, it wasn’t good for anyone to stay sad for long. Shaking her cranium Umi payed more attention to one of the two hares Anik had brought them. Carefully skinning the prey animal with her sharp ivories the golden dame set the hare’s pelt aside, she always kept the pelts of her prey, it added warmth to her and Droplet’s den in the night; plus if she had too many she could always give them to others. Umi made a mental note to clean the soft fur in the river later as she lay down to eat. Her ice blue hues watched silently over the proceedings below as more wolves were becoming social with Willow and company. This brought a smile to Umi’s maw.
Ame and Tsunami had finally had enough of tussling each other as their small tongues lolled from their maws. The twin male pups had instead turned their bright green and grey hues to Vixen and her two pups. Nami looked at his brother who in turn decided to approach them curiously. Ame’s bright green orbs glistened with wonder and the pair moved in as if they were crouched stalking prey, only more clumsily.
Leviathan tilted her head and brow furrowed at Beech’s new drawing. Her violet gaze was confused as well as upset that she couldn’t guess what Beech had drawn this time. Was this a sea creature now? Feeling she had no other choice but to confirm her guess Levi asked what it was “Beech, is that a sea creature?”
Willow sat relaxed as her audits twitched at the approaching paw steps of Vixen. She smiled warmly “Hello, I’m Willow,” she paused seeing the white dame had two of her own hiding among her limbs, this made Willow chuckle as she looked down seeing Sundrop doing the same. Softly nudging Sunny out from her hiding place Willow continued “And this is Sundrop,” She motioned to the rest “Leviathan , and the two curious ones behind you are Ame and Tsunami.” The cream dame stood now as her grey gaze landed on Blade and Lucy watching equally as curious.

Beech gently nudged Levi before indicating the drawing again. She also sketched the pup next to the drawing in case that wasn't enough of a hint.

Vix smiled warmly at Willow as she came near her and her pups. "The name is Vixen but most just call me Vix. These two are my pups" Vix greeted as she pointed to the female pup with blue and golds yellow eyes and the male pup with Red and golds yellow eyes. "I'm Lucy" Lucy greeted them trying to sound mature. "And I'm her brother, Blade." Blade added on protectively and trying to sound mature and a little older. Vix smiled and lightly chuckled at her pups.

Leviathan’s violet hues widened “That’s me!” The black pup exclaimed with excitement her small tassel wagging to and fro. Levi liked this, it was like a guessing game. She touched noses with Beech to further insight her happiness.
Ame, Nami, and Sundrop all observed Lucy and Blade. Equally wide with curiosity gold, grey, and bright green eyes peeped out as the pups themselves approached Vixen’s sniffing and smiling. They hadn’t really been able to play with others around their age as Willow kept them to the den, and for good reason. Sunny eyed Levi, but saw her sister was clearly occupied with Beech. So instead the cream pup sat right in front of Lucy unsure of what to do “Hello Lucy.” She spoke quietly. Ame on the other ahem seemed intrigued to have another playmate as he bumbled into Blade “You wanna play Blade huh hm?” The hyper pup’s bright green hues sparkled. Tsunami rolled his steely grey hues at his older brother, sometimes he wondered if he wasn’t the youngest. Nami pushes Ame off of Blade with a dull tone “Yeah we can play, if ya don’t kill him first.” The younger joked about the tackle.
Willow watched on with a small smile as she turned her attention to Vixen “So um Vix, how are things in White River?” She asked rather timidity “Just wondering..” Willow down casted her soft grey orbs submissively out of instinct, she didn’t want to probe Vixen for answers. The poor cream dame was just shy.

Lucy smiled at Sunny happily. "Hi, Sundrop." Lucy replied with a happy tone. Blade smirked as he got up. Blade tackled Ame playfully. "Sure, if ya can keep up with me." Blade joked. Lucy and Blade were happy getting more playmates as well as friends.
Vix looked at Blade and Lucy and smiled. "Remember to be nice to them you two." Vix said to her pups. "We know, mom." they replied. Vix looked at Willow as she heard her question. "White River is really nice and welcoming. It was a big change for me when I joined but I have come to like it here and I'm sure you will too." Vix said smiling at Willow. Once Vix saw Willow being a little submissive, Vix added on "If you have more questions, I'm happy to answer them."

Reika looks up upon hearing unfamiliar voices and smelling unfamiliar scents from her pups playing in her den. Standing up, she walked to the den entrance soon followed by Eyota and Akira. 'New pack members perhaps?' Reika thought upon seeing an unfamiliar cream she-wolf and her pups with Vix, Lucy and Blade. Deciding to introduce herself, the silver female trots over to the group, her tail wagging in greeting, her two shyest pups peeking from behind her legs at the newcomers. "Hello Vix," she said looking at Vixen then to the new wolf. "And who might you might if you don't mind me asking."

Anik grunts in apparent frustration as Reika leaves the den, instead heading toward the new wolf and her young. He drops to his haunches near the den’s entrance, gaze searching for his companion among the small crowd of his pack-mates forming around the newcomers. Upon finding the other he straightens up, ears pricking and tail thumping lazily against the ground beneath his frame.
Now, to wait until she was done socializing. His paws shuffle beneath him as he changes position, soon settling onto his belly so that he’s lying down instead.

The twins, Lucian and Lucia, Kodi and Freya spotted Anik laying outside the den. "Let's see if he wants to play." Freya whispered and this caused the twins who were known for causing trouble to nod eagerly while Kodi was a little reluctant but agreed as there was no harm. The four pups crept low to the ground towards the older wolf and then as if on a silent count to three, they pounced, Freya and Lucia shouting "daddy!"
Reika glanced to where the shout was only to laugh at Anik at his situation. Lucian and Lucia were biting his ears while Freya was on his head and Kodi was tugging at his tail. "And this is why they shouldn't be left alone for a while." Reika said to herself after being able to breathe. Eyota and Akira giggle a little at the scene from behind their mother.
