It was a mild day in late spring. Beech was watching over the pack as usual, when she spotted Leviathan on her own. The rest of her siblings were playing around her, but she didn't seem completely involved in the play like usual. She carefully sniffed for danger, and, finding none, hopped down. She wagged her tail as she approached the black pup, and, recalling how she had liked guessing her symbols when they had first met, sketched out a symbol. She nodded to the forest behind the pups as her clue.  |

Levi’s violet hues went wide with excitement as she watched Beech approach her. The dark pup liked the silent dame. She soon eyed the drawing appearing in the dirt curiously before speaking “Hmm.” Leviathan wanted to be right, she had to be. Eyeing the woods Beech pointed at beyond her playful siblings she then spoke “Is it the forest, like a tree?” Levi asked hoping to be correct, she didn’t like giving the wrong answer.

Beech nodded her head to confirm Levi's guess. Then she got an idea. She erased the sign for the tree and drew Levi's sign and said Levi's name in sign language.

Leviathan recognized the sign as being her name as Beech had drawn it once before, yet when the black pup’s violet orbs shined with curiosity at the sign language Levi hesitated. The young pup furrowed her brow, “I know that’s me, but in a different way of saying it?” She asked.

Levi smiled as her little black tassel swayed. “That’s us talking!” She exclaimed surely that was what Beech had sketched.

It wasn't exactly what Beech meant by the sketch, but it was pretty close and Levi looked so proud of her guess that she nodded that it was. She made another sign and nodded towards a little bird sitting on a branch above them.

Leviathan’s violet visionaries turned to the small winged animal over yonder. Her gaze then fixated on Beech’s sketch, “That birdy over there?” She asked.

The black pup swayed her small tassel ready to reply “A bird flying?” Leviathan turned her violet gaze to Beech looking to see if she was correct.

Beech started to shake her head at bird, then nodded at flying. She added a sketch of a helicopter to the drawing.

Now Leviathan was at a lose as to what sort of creature or thing this was. The ebony pup blinked her violet orbs looking to Beech “I have no idea..” Levi plainly stated with a shrug.

Beech gave a short shake of her head and erased the drawing. She made a new drawing of a wolf running after a rabbit.

Leviathan’s violet oculars brightened “A wolf chasing a rabbit!” She exclaimed.

Beech nodded and drew two wolves chasing an elk without erasing the previous drawing.

Leviathan hummed as her small banner sway watching Beech commence her next drawing. “Oh! A hunt is going on.” She excitedly chimed once it was completed.
