Rune sat silently near the new pack he had recently stumbled upon. It had only been a week or so since he arrived there from his far away birthplace. He had started to take a liking to being around new faces but still was cautious of some of them since he hadn't learned all of their ways in the short time of his arrival.

Anik has just returned from one of his walks, a squirrel held in his jaws; if no one wanted it, he’d figured the pups would enjoy playing with the vermin. His ears are pricked, listening for any sign that he may be needed for whatever reason.
Eyeing the other male as he passes, the dark-coated male dips his crown in a mute greeting. He’d introduce himself later, assuming he doesn’t forget.

Rune also gave a silent greeting in the same manner. He gave a calm sigh, smiling as a crow landed by his paws. It walked across his paw but he just let it do its own thing. 'Life is going to be so different' He voiced internally as he gave a light gaze at the bright skies overhead.

Aurora sat not far from the new wolf was having only been observing the whole time. She wanted to make sure he was actually trustworthy before approaching. Deciding he was at least safe enough to talk to, the young adolescent stands and walks over to him. "So you must be the new arrival, Rune, correct?" She asked a little bit weary.
Lucia and Lucian raced around the densite followed by their siblings as their mom had told them to entertain themselves while she was out finding Horsetail. The six of them knew there was a new face in the pack but didn't run over to him immediately.

"Yes, that's right." He glanced at the young wolf, "And who might you be?" He asked with curiosity laced in his voice. He figured he better start learning all the names now as opposed to later.

Aurora smiled; it was barely noticable but it was there. "My name is Aurora. I'm new around here myself." She answered glancing briefly at the playing pups then back at Rune. "So when did you arrive?" She was curious but not overly curious.

He gave a slight smile back, "I've only been here about a week. It was a VERY long trip here from Canada." He sounded exhausted just saying it out loud.

"What made you leave if you don't mind me asking?" Aurora asked but on the inside she mentally scolded herself for prying into someone's private life. This on the outside made her frown which probably didn't look too friendly with her scars.

“I guess I just wanted a new adventure, being with my birthpack was nice but I needed a fresh start.” Rune told the basics of his motive for leaving home. He didn’t seem to mind someone he barely knew asking about this thing in particular.

Aurora looked at him, blinking a couple times then nodded. "Wish that was me," she muttered to herself with a slight irritated flick of her ear and tail. "Well that's-" she was suddenly interrupted by something preferably a pup bumping into her back leg and looked back.
The six pups having found Anik had raced over to him only for the Akira, the more clumsy out of them to run into Aurora on the way. Muttering a quick sorry, he and his siblings ran to their father figure.

“Energetic.” He smiled, remembering a time where he and his sisters were like that. He watched as they ran over to the male who had silently greeted him previously. “Well, I’m going to go explore the territory. Talk to you later!” He said as he wandered to a river in the distance. Rune enjoyed the fresh waters smell as it ran untamed through the earth.

Aurora shrugged a little. She never really did, not that she could really remember much anyways, a time where she acted like a pup. All she could remember was some play and everything else was pain, darkness and other things. "I guess they are." Her amber, green flecked eyes turned a little hallow at the memory. She wasn't mad at the pup who bumped into her nor did she have anything against the tiny canines.

Rune glanced at a coyote pup that had bumped into his leg very lightly. He gave a light chuckle and playfully pawed at the smaller animal in which it repeated back to him, "Awe, how cute." a smile formed on his lips. He heard the light howls of an adult coyote "Sounds like your family is that way, go on." he sent the coyote pup off in that direction to which it obeyed. Peacefully, he intook the scent of the rushing water and looked around his new home.

Anik’s tail begins wagging when the pups hurry over, and he drops the kill previously hanging from his maw. “Brought ‘ya something,” he yips, dropping his weight to his haunches after the squirrel hits the ground with a thud.

The six pups eagerly greet Anik, Kodi, Lucian and Lucia jumping on their paws as if trying to get him to play while the other three lick his muzzle when he goes to put down the squirrel. "Thank you," All six of them chorus when Anik had dropped the squirrel then began to eat it after moving the fur around.
Reika soon returned with a wad of cobwebs around her foreleg. Upon walking into camp, she see's her pups with Anik and walks over to the small group. She smells an unfamiliar but familar scent and she guessed it was the newest arrival, Rune she believed. "Did they give you a hard time?" Reika joked, smiling.

A sudden rush of boredom urged Rune to do something instead of sit there with a blank face. And that he did, soon enough he was on the lowest branch of a tree in which he had climbed onto. He'd learned this little trick back when he was just a pup and has since then remembered how to successfully climb onto a low tree branch with no hesitation. Rune always had a cat-like persona, and this just added another piece to the puzzle.

Vix walked out of her den to stretch while her pups slept. Vix looked around then headed for a walk. Vix walked through forest then decided to hunt for her pups before they woke up. Vix lifted her head to see if she could catch a scent of anything.

Rune watched the ground below as he calmly relaxed on the tree branch. The new scents around him filled his nares with rapid pace as he got to know each one. Some smelled welcoming, others just different.
