With a coat stained with mud and blood the large female pranced across the grounds. She had been gone for, she didn’t even know how long anymore. Poker was worried the pack could have moved or something like that. What if they forgot her?? Her ears shifted as she had just crossed into the territory. All the trees had changed so much. So many new smells and some she just barely remembered. She figured her scent would come in unknown as she had been gone so long. The problem was one night she was at the den and then what she assumed months later she woke up near a human town. Poker smelt nothing like herself and she just wanted to be home. Her body oddly moved as she felt like she had been hit my a train. Well knowing she hadn’t been she was also weak. Like she hadn’t eaten or slept the whole time. Something about all this seemed wrong. Catching her first scent of a pack member her tail lifted. She knew she was probably going to have some conflict at first but she was excited in a way and for once, not looking to kill the first thing that moved plant or not. Running her tongue over her jaws she gave her pelt a shake. Continuing with a steady pace (best she could with 3 legs) she could now just barely see the path she once took.

Reika was worried about Poker as the large female had gone missing but could not go out and search for her along with other pack members as she had to take care of her pups and had her duty as a lota. It had to be one day that she had decided to take her youngest son out on a lesson on herbs when she smelt a wolf and blood and grew tense. It was too risky to send her pup back to the pack alone. "Stay here, little one. I'll be back." She said nudging the white pup into a hole at the base of a tree and Akira began to protest but a quick look made him cease his actions. With a small smile, Reika ran off to find the wolf.

Pokers ears shifted wildly as she was looking for someone near by. Anyone. She took a deep inhale catching a light drift. It was a younger would and...she couldn’t pin the name but a pack member. She started into a almost full sprint towards the scents, her tongue rolled out and her ears back. She looked almost like she was hunting. Poker was on a mission though. With a sound like soft footed moose calves running along she kept a steady pace.

Reika soon found the source of the scent; a rather large, 3 legged, she-wolf. Going on the defensive, the silvery-white dame lowered her head and pulled back her lips in a growl. Something about the other was familiar bur she couldn't quite figure out what especially since the latter was covered in both blood and mud. "Who are you?" She asked with as much authority as she could muster deslite the fact she wasn't an alpha. "What business do you have in our territory?" The smaller of the two moved to stand more in the path which lead to where her son was and the rest of the pack.

Poker slowed her sprint to a trot as she stopped only a few feet from Reika. her ears shifted has she tried to pin the voice. racing threw her memory Pokers ears perked as a slow wag started. "Yes our territory. you and i and many others" She spoke with a slightly deeper voice then before and with less of an accent. pulling her body to a stand, her fur spread revealing new scars and patches of missing fur. now tucking her head between her shoulders as she sat down, a thing she did often. with a gentle grin her teeth were visable but not in a threatening way. with the authority she had in her voice when she was once alpha Poker stood to her full height and let her teeth flash "The White River Pack. Has Their Zeta back" her tail held a gentle wag as it slowly sped up while Poker was waiting to see if the broad would connect the dots of their missing wolf with her.

Reika took a step back, blinking a couple times. "Poker?" She asked, finally pin pointing who the wolf in front of her was. "Is it really you? What happened? Where have you been?" So many questions were asked all at once and she looked embarrassed as she just realized she was rambling. "Sorry but really, what happened?"

Poker let a giggle slip as her tail went wild. “We can talk about all that later. Is everyone still here?? What have I missed” Poker barked lowly as she rolled over

"Well you missed quite a bit of things and as for everyone still here..." Reika trailed off, sadness making itself known. "We gained some new members, but unfortunately during the winter we lost someone." She shook her head a little. She felt as if she was forgetting something...Akira! Mentally smaking herself, she dashes off the way she came after saying, "I'll be back!" to Poker to get her son.

Poker dipped her head hearing the sad news. As Reika pranced off claiming to be right back Poker slowly sat down tilting her head. She lowered her body till she was laying down. With her ears back she sniffed the ground lightly. She shook her head as she’s swore she saw a flash of white. Poker let her head down as something quickly raced threw her mind.
Muffled voices of humans and barking surrounded her. “Quick get them in. We can’t let boss down again” another flash of white. “WYNTER” her own voice shrieked. Another flash of white a gentle males voice “I don’t know if they’ll all make it”. With a few more flashes of white she heard gunshots in her mind. Poker jumped and shook her head as she looked around frantically. It was just her imagination. She hoped. Poker sat up and waited eagerly for Reika to return

Akira's ears perk up at the sound of pawsteps approaching his location and scooted back into his hiding spot but stopped when he smelt his mother and crawled out of the hole. "Is everything ok mama?" He asked when she was in front of him. Reika smiled and nodded. "Yes, dear now I would like you to meet someone." She said and picked him up. Reika trotted back to Poker and set her son down. "Sorry about that. Had to get this one." She apologized.

Poker lifted her ears as she spotted the young wolf. Laying down on her stomach, she crawled closer. “Omg Reika hes adorable” her tail wagged wildly. “My little ones would love him. They should definitely meet” Poker let a giggle slip as she pushed her nose closer to the pup

Akira ran behind his mother and peeked out from behind her leg at the other wolf. "Thanks, Poker. I think he's the more chill one out of his siblings." Reika said, giggling at her youngest's reaction. "This is Akira. Akira this is Poker. Despite her size, she's nice." She moved her leg and the white and silver pup cautiously walked up to the larger wolf and smiled at her. "We should be getting back to the pack, all of us."

Poker flattened her ears embarrassed as this usually happened with pups. she nodded to Reikas idea. Slowly, the broad stood to with her head lowered and shook her stiff pelt wildly. "Maybe we could stop by a lake or river. i am not the cleanest right now" Poker gave a gentle giggle as she looked over her patchy fur.

Reika nodded as she glanced at her. "Yeah that would be wise." She said. "You're not injured right?" Remebering that Poker was covered in blood, she had to ask.

Poker looked over herself. Honestly she didn’t know. She was definitely in some pain, physically and mentally. Not thinking it was super major or wanting to worry Reika Poker managed a smile and shook her head “No I’m all good”. Poker stretched back leaning towards her side without a leg as she yawned broadly. Her eyes scanned her body once more before she looked to Reika. “Wanna lead the way? I’m not gonna lie I kinda forgot my way around the place” she slipped a giggle

Reika raised an eyebrow at that, suspicious. "Are you sure about that?" She asked as Akira looked at where Poker was missing a leg curiously. He stands up and walks to her, his head tilted. "I'll take you there but I hope your not lieing." Reika said and walked off in the direction of the lake, soon followed by Akira.

Poker nervously laughed as she followed Reika. She gave her coat another shake before she continued. With an odd trot she let her tongue out over her jaw to the side.

Arriving at the lake, Reika laid down next to the bank while keeping and eye on her son who was off looking for Horsetail. "Be careful, Aki!" She called to him. "I will." He called back.

Seeing the water Pokers tail gently wagged. She trotted up to it and slipped in relived. She rolled around the shore getting the mud and blood from her coat. Upon standing poker shook her coat wildly. Looking over her body she saw a large patch of missing fur on her left side. There were scars looking like she had been pelted with bullets. Poker was shocked as she knew her side hurt but didn’t know this was here. Briefly her screams and other dogs pain flashed threw her mind. She growled gently before laying in the water trying to settle her nerves

Reika kept a close eye on Poker just in case she was lying about any possible injuries. Looking at her more, she could see the larger female was missing a large patch of fur. "I thought you said you were fine." Reika said, a bit disappointed, standing up and walking over to her.
