Tom eventually did lift his head again to watch over his packmates, the sound of gentle breathing filling the cave. Tom gave a relieved sigh, seeing that the others were well. Eventually, he did lay down and rest his head on his paws, still, he kept his gaze trained on the falling snow outside.
After a couple of hours, Tom stiffly got to his paws. The snow outside had stopped, and the morning sun had just barely peeked over the mountain tops. Carefully and quietly, Tom crossed the cave a leaped outside. The snow was rather deep, but he could still manage despite his short stature. He shook his head and looked down across the valley below. Guess he was wrong to assume that his old territory wouldn't get snow.

The brutes ears flicked as Tom made a small noise as he jumped in the snow. Slowly, his left eye opened, with the other following. "Morning" Droplet called out lowly, getting to his paws. 'What a nice nap" he joked lowly, almost in a mumble to himself.

Tom's eyes shifted backward, narrowing against the morning sun glinting against the snow. "Good morning, Droplet." He nodded his head slightly, not turning completely away from the valley. "We'll be moving on in a bit... Just waiting for the others to rise... I'll be heading out to hunt in a bit as well." Tom spoke gently.

Yawning, Sheeva stretched and got to her paws as the males spoke quietly. Padding over to the entrance she looked outside, nodding a greeting to Droplet as she passed. “Morning.” Letting out another yawn she stepped out into the snow, eyes squinted against the glare.

The brute let out a small sigh, and nodded to both of the wolves words. "Sounds like a plan" He said, trying not to sound at all worried. "Vixen, you good?" Droplet looked back to see the female. "Haven't heard much from you"

Tom gave a small whine of greetings as Sheeva approached, "I'm off to hunt. Get ready to leave while I'm out." He barked, dashing off through the snow, which went just up to his elbow.

Droplet nodded, and watch Tom go. Contemplating if he should've offered to go with. "Sheeva, how are you holding up?" he said trying to create small talk.

Tom had been hunting for a while. It was quite easy to pick up several small, woodland creatures. Many of the small animals had come down from trees to scurry across the freshly laid snow in search of shelter or food. Tom was making his way back, two chipmunks and three squirrels hanging proudly from his jaws.

Droplet was looking off in the distance, when he saw a small black figure trotting towards the small pack of wolves with a hint of blood. Tom. With a small bark, the brute looked at the females "Tom's back, you guys can have first pick." he said slowly, as if he was unsure of his words.

Sheeva let Droplet’s question hang in the air, unsure of it’s answer. Hunger gnawed at her as she looked out over the valley covered in snow, watching for any movement. Thankfully nothing did and her head whipped around when Droplet announced that Tom was returning.

Tom gave a small nod to his packmates, approaching Droplet. He was quick to pad down a small area of snow so it was compact enough to hold some weight before he dropped his catch. "I'll have whatever, Sheeva, Vixen, come to take some." He called warmly.

Sheeva nodded to Tom and pulled a chipmunk out of the dip in the snow. Padding a few paces away she flattened the snow in a small circle and began to eat.

The male waited a few moments so the rest could get their share. Soon after, Droplet nosed out one of the largest animals left in the pile. Grabbing it, he made sure to nod his thanks to Tom before padding off to a secluded place.

Tom gave a curt nod before picking up the last squirrel from the pile, giving a small whine of offering to the last chipmunk, before backing away until he sat in a sunny patch. He padded out a small area of snow and began to eat his share, a grateful yip coming from him as he took notice that the kill was still semi-warm.

"Thank you Tom'' Droplet had said, not recalling if he had mentioned it already. "Shall we head out after this?" He continued, spitting fluff and licking excess blood out of his maw.
