The bushes and trees of low growth had disappeared, to make room for gigantic mahogany trees, century-old cork trees, and the acajou, whose somber branches formed a vaulted roof of green eighty feet above his head. The path had grown wider, and stretched, in a gentle incline, towards a hillock of moderate height, entirely free from trees. This forest wasn't familiar to Reika and she felt nervous just walking through it but she had to try and find a den to take shelter. As she walked, the familiar scent of lupine filled her nose and she stiffened.

The brute blinked open one golden eye, then came another. Droplet pushed to his paws, making an ever so lightly grunt. He looked around his roomy den, contemplating if he should take a walk - to clear his mind. With a shake of his pelt, the male made his way down to the forest, nodding a small greeting to those who he had passed.

The smell of lupine was stronger the more Reika walked into the forest, her body tense, her jaws tight and her belly turned in an unfriendly way, and not because of her pups. She lowered her tail but not in between her legs and flattened her ears. Whoever was out there she hoped they are friendly. She decided to go the other direction away from the smell.

Droplet shifted to a hault. (Yolo) The pack had previously experienced downfall. His cranium turned, facing what had appeared in front of him. Paw prints. That was weird, had his kin walked through here before him? Perhaps on a border patrol. The male let out a small bark, hoping for an answer in return.

Perking one ear up and turning to where she heard a bark, Reika then flattened her ears. Someone was out there and whoever it was seemed to be a little too close for her comfort. Not wanting to get into trouble, Reika picked up her pace.

The brutes audits flicked annoying at the sounds of paw steps hitting the soft earth and bushes rustling. Droplet let out a soft sigh. The loner was scared. A small smirk appeared across his face, it was obvious the Alpha had known the territory better than anyone, hence he claimed it. Perhaps it was possible to turn around and meet the loner head on.
With a huff, the brute turned around, making his was in a circle.

Glancing behind her, she thought she would be able to get away but she didn't look in front of her fast enough to realize one of her paws didn't connect with the ground which caused her to yelp. She opened her eyes in shock, and she was falling. Her perception of time distorted, everything slowed down until there were nothing, only her and the sky above, the sky that seemed to swallow her whole.

Droplets ears perked at the yelp, he instantly make his way to the sound, worried that the dame mightve fallen, regardless if the wolf was part of the pack or not. "Are you okay?" he called out, peering over the edge. "Are you hurt?" his voice called out, stern but a pinch of pity.

Reika raised her head up and shook it a little to get rid of a slight headache. "Yes, I'm alright just dazed." She slowly got to her paws; she was relieved to know she could stand nor did she land too hard belly which she was glad for. "Can you help me up? I don't know if I can get out by myself."

Droplets eyes betrayed his stance. "Your belly, looks swollen. We have some herbs back in camp." the brute said, taking a few steps back, then jumping off the small ledge. Landing quite awkwardly on his paws. "Here." he continued, helping the dame up. "I can't quite recall seeing you round' here. Are you new?"

Reika took on a guarded stance after the male helped her out that hole. "My belly is fine and thank you for helping me." She said. "And yes, I am new here. The humans brought me here." Her ears flattened but but all the way against her head, her tail somewhat raised.

Droplet took a step back, his audits twitched in amusement. "Humans?" he echoed "Haven't seen them around since forever." -- "The best I can do is offer you some shelter. Perhaps food, if we have any to spare. I do believe we have some herbs, I can utilize a few."

Reika's eyes widden in shock. Had she heard the male right? "Are you serious? I don't want to intru-" she interrupted herself by cringing slightly from a jab in her side. "You don't have to do that." She continued.

Droplet shook his head. "No, I insist. Let me at least check out your wounds. I mean-" the brute smirked. "Unless you would like to be caught up in this storm. Thats up to you, really." he let out a sly chuckle. "Most of my members are nice. Trust me."

Reika sighed in defeat. "Alright, I'll go with you but I don't know if I can trust you though." She conceded. "What storm are you talking about? I don't smell rain nor do I have any wounds." What did this wolf find so amusing about her? Did she say or do something funny?

Droplets audits instantly went flat against his cranium, but he shrugged it off. "Look up." he mused "Don't you know gray clouds mean downfall" the male snorted, starting to trot towards the camp. "You don't need to trust me, but I don't have all day." His optics looked around, nodding a greeting to his members. "You may rest over there" his tassel flicked. "By the Omega den"

Briefly glancing up at the sky, Reika followed the male. "Of course, but sometimes I rely on my nose." At the camp, she felt an unsettling feeling beginning to well up inside her. She pinned her ears to her head, she didn't meet any of the other wolves' gazes, more looking to the male in front of her. When he had mentioned she could rest by the Omega den, she padded off to said spot then sat down.

Umi happened to be arriving back into the densite after a successful hunt, but as soon as she entered the scent of someone new caught her attention. The golden dame peered about the area until she spotted them, Droplet had brought in a new dame. Umi gracefully trotted over a smile on her maw and ice blue optics bright “Hello there!”
