OOC Blurb:
If your wolf has any physical flaw, it can be ignored. This is a day dream sort of role play within Beech's mind, because I wanted to explore how she would react to having a voice again. While laws of physics don't strictly need to apply, there shouldn't be anything too ridiculous, such as flying wolves. If a wolf falls far enough that it should break a leg, it can be decreased in severity to a bad sprain(or similar feats), however that's pretty much as far as they can be bent(if you're not sure, just ask). Hunger, thirst, and fatigue still apply as normal.
IC Introduction:
Beech glanced around the small area. It was a bit out of the way, too far from the dens to be a watching spot, but too close for any wolf to have a good hunting chance. It was only big enough for about 2, maybe 3 wolves, hemmed in on three sides by a tangle of thorny branches. Its dominating features were the tiny indent where a stream ran during rainy weather and a tiny drop off that was about two paw lengths high. The slowly darkening sky peeked down from between the interlaced branches, and a cool summer breeze weaved gently through the forest. She had found them not long after she had started her duties as a Nu, and often came here when not watching over camp to rest and think. The soil was torn up from her many drawings, and there was still a very faint blood stain from an unlucky injured rabbit that she had happened upon a day or two ago. She perched on the edge of the overhang and listened to the muffled sounds of camp life. She closed her eyes, watching the shapeless blobs move behind her eyelids until a fantasy drifted over her. A couple wolves walking along a valley filled with tall grass.

Krystal walked through the woods. She was supposed to be hunting but she just wanted to think. The only problem was that... she didn't know what to think of. Krystal shrugged her shoulders.

Beech lifted her nose to the air. It felt different to her here. The wide sea of grass tickled her belly, and huge trees rose above the ridge on one side. Almost everything felt right about this place, except for one thing: her jaw. It felt different. It felt more...peaceful, if that was a thing. Could body parts be peaceful? Beech brushed the thought aside and sauntered through the grass, sniffing at the occasional clump of dirt or gust of wind. It was a few minutes before she caught wind of another sent, wolf. Beech started moving towards the sent, wondering if she had somehow found another pack's territory, although a small part of her said this was a day dream.

Krystal kept walking on through the forest. Then she spotted a flower. It had 5 pointed blue petals and dark green leaves. Krystal knew it was borage. Borage was good for producing more milk for a female that has pups but it is also used bringing down fevers. Krystal walked over to the nearest tree and started scratching it until it had deep claw marks in it. Then she did it to a few others. She would always mark were a herb just in case she could use it in the future.

Beech drifted on in a state of half-lucidity. She wandered the the general direction of the smell, in no particular hurry. The wind played past her fur, and she jumped up as if to grab and wrestle with it. It obliged her for a second before rushing on down the valley.

A wind brushed her fur. Branches rustled above her and a leaf floated down from a oak tree. Krystal jumped up and batted it onto the ground. She giggled and then stopped herself. "What am I doing? Am acting like a pup that's what." Krystal said to herself. She gave her chest fur a few embarrassed licks before continuing to walk through the forest.

Beech finally reached the edge of the forest. She sniffed at claw marks on some of the trees before continuing after the scent. Her ears swiveled to listen to the quiet chirping of a bird, then the quiet chatter of a creek.

A flash of blue feathers passed through Krystals vision. Krystal turned her head and saw a young blue jay flying through the forest. It rested on a low hanging branch before flying off through the branches. "I wish I could fly." Krystal said to herself. "It would be fun but its impossible to fly."

As Krystal continued to walk through the woods she was so into her thoughts that she didn't realize their was a rabbit hole right in front of her.She put her paw in it ,not knowing its there. Pain flashed through Krystal's body She let out a yowl and pulled her paw out of the hole. She Tested her paw on the ground but it hurt to much that she could not use it. She looked around and saw a patch of soft grass surrounded by thickets. Krystal limped over their and laid down in the grass. She began to lick her paw. It was a sprain."This is bad! This is really bad!!" Krystal began to panic for a little bit but she knew it wouldn't help anything so she started taking deep breaths.

"By the looks of it... its only a small sprain but it needs to have elder leaves cobweb and ... um... what is it called- oh yeah bindweed stems." Krystal started speaking to herself hopefully to calm herself. As every minute past she caught more cautious and anxious. She couldn't move or it will get so she laid in the grass trying not to move her foreleg. "Maybe some wolf will come and help me? Well we just have to wait."

Beech's ears flattened at the sound of a yowl of pain. She started running without really realizing it and skidded to a stop next to a grey wolf. "Are you hurt?" a voice seemed to tear its way out of her throat. She nearly jumped in surprise. She hadn't spoken in years. The voice was skirting the edge between being a low female voice and a high male voice and had was impossibly clear for coming out of a wolf who hadn't spoken in that long. "Oh, and I'm Beech," she added, still amazed at the sound.

Krystal looked up to see a female wolf standing over her. "Well if you put it this way I Yowled in pain, Im laying on the ground, and my paw is starting to swollen up. Soooooo of course Im hurt!" Krystal snapped at the wolf But she suddenly wished she didn't. "I'm Sorry I didn't mean to snap its just this paw hurts really bad. My names Krystal by the way." She apologized hoping to sound as kind as possible.

Beech flinched when Krystal snapped at her, then relaxed at the apology. "Sorry. Can I help?" she asked, dipping her head to look at the other wolf's paw.

Uh.. yeah... I need you to collect some herbs. such as elder leaves, cobweb, and bindweed stems. poppy seeds would be nice to have but not needed." Krystal explained realizing that Beech probably didn't no about herbs. "Do you no what those herbs are?" She asked before licking her paw.

"Cobwebs I can find. I've seen enough poppy seeds and flowers to last two lifetimes. I wouldn't be able to recognize the others," Beech replied. Her mind raced to scan through her memories of her previous pack, although she had no idea if they even had access to the same herbs, probably not.

Beech studied the drawing carefully. She nodded and signed something. "I can find that," she added almost as an afterthought.

"Bindweed stems look like a normal vine, but they grow off of a small white flower with heart shaped leaves." Krystal answered in between licking her paw. "Now hurry before my paw is broken forever!" Krystal joked hoping to cheer up beech from all the knowledge she had given her, but she was also trying to distract herself from the pain that stung at her fore-paw.

Beech's eyes flashed in panic at Krystal's words. A small part of her mind said she was probably joking, but she ran pell-mell into the forest anyways. She slowed as she focused on looking for the herbs Krystal needed. She snapped up a bindweed vine almost immediately and scanned the lower branches for elder leaves. She snapped up the leaves as soon as she saw them as well as some cobwebs, then spent another few minutes searching fruitlessly for poppies before loping back over to Krystal and dropping them in a messy pile. "No poppies," she said apologetically.
