Anik trots ahead of his seasoned father, crown raised confidently and crooked tail raised into an almost cocky position. He slows ever so slightly upon realizing the elder had fallen behind, and soon paused all together. “Come on slow poke!” He barks, tone taunting. He lowers into a playful stance at his father’s returned growl, the sire’s caudal appendage flicking to and fro absently. “Alright, pup, I’m coming,” he pants, his cranium dropped to be level with his shoulders. Suddenly, he pauses, about a fox-length behind his son. Low growl rumbling from the lupine, he slowly moves to stand at Anik’s side, the younger instantly more alert and looking serious at his father’s uncharacteristic unease. “You’ve lead us right onto a pack’s territory, you fur-brain,” Yakone huffs, words going ignored by his now on-edge companion. Anik’s dark pelage is bristled, ears pricked alertly and gaze flickering from every few seconds to a new location in search of any danger. Though too proud to admit it, he had gotten too caught up in messing with the aged male to realize they’d crossed any border.
Yakone moves forward at a cautious pace, limp in his step and son following behind him. He didn’t want to start any trouble, or draw hostile attention to themselves, so he was careful to appear much less aggressive than the younger, who was always eager for a little scrap. Both were aware of their surroundings, the more experienced lupine leading the pair and paying much more attention to things Anik hadn’t even thought to look for.

Reika had been out gathering Thyme and was about to the head back to the pack when she smelled stranger wolves in the territory. Strangers, what are they doing here? She thought narrowing her eyes a little. Throwing her head back and howling for Droplet, Reika than padded off towards where the strangers were.

Yakone’s ears shoot up at a howl; nearby, yet not close enough to be any real threat at the moment. “Look what you’ve done,” he scolds, resulting in Anik tucking his tail between his hind legs and nuzzling his father’s cheek in apology. “I wasn’t watching,” he admits, earning a frustrated sigh.
“I know,” Yakone snips, before turning and nudging the younger forward. “Go. We’ve got to get out.” Anik makes a noise of protest, standing his ground the best he can. “The whole point of leaving home was to find someone, old man.”

Droplet was about to drift into a deep slumber when a familiar howl echoed through the air. Reika. His audits perked instantly. "What now?" he muttered gently to himself, pushing to all fours. The male trotted to the mouth of his den, his claws scraping lifelessly against the surface bottom of his den - making a discordant sound.
Droplet traveled to the dame, his pace quickening as multiple unfamiliar scents filled his nare.

“I’ve changed my mind. I’d rather go home to your mother.” His ears swivel back at the sound of approaching pawsteps, posture tending. Anik huffs, watching as the older male starts at his usual limpy trot back the way they came.

Reika found the strangers she wasn't expecting to find an older wolf who looked like he was trying to-keywords trying to push a younger wolf who seemed to not be budging. "Hey, can I help you both with something?" She called to the two, dropping the herbs she collected in front of her.

Anik looks smug as he watches Yakone pause in place, his muscles tensing as though he was caught off guard. Expression going neutral once more, Anik turns back to the dame that had spoken. “Apologies, IniKuk,” he yips, causing the older to sigh heavily as if in disappointment before turning to face the pack wolves. “English, my dear,” Yakone murmurs, approaching Anik before sitting at his side. He directs his attention to their company now. “I apologize for trespassing, dears,” he begins, “it appears my son had stopped paying attention and lead us right into your land.”

Droplet trotted towards Reika, his tassel and head held high - something he rarely does. As the dame appeared in his view, he narrowed his golden optics ever so slightly at the two foreigners. The male wasn't in earshot of their conversation, but was able to identify simple characteristics - two males, an elder and a brute.
Droplet cleared his throat, announcing his presence "And you are?"

As Anik opens his maw to respond, Yakone is quick to raise his tail and cover his mouth to keep him quiet. “Yakone,” he introduces, his head lowering into a respectful “bow”, “this is Anik. We hadn’t realized until rather late that we were on pick territory; sorry for any alarm.”

Droplet shifted his gaze from Yakone to Anik. "Let him speak." the male insisted with a slight smirk, his audit flicked curious. "Did you just find them?" he asked the dame, only in earshot to her. Droplet cleared his throat looking back at the loners. "It's nice to meet you, Yakone and Anik. No harm done, thank you for the heads up."

Anik huffs, jerking his head away from his father’s tail and stepping around him so he can’t hush him again. He sits back on his haunches, causing Yakone to only look frustrated. “Don’t get comfortable, pup,” he mutters, going ignored as Anik begins to speak, his crooked tail curling around his paws the best it can with the angle. “You gonna have some fun and chase us out, or is the old bag of bones dragging me by the scruff?” He questions, tone rather playful. Sure, he didn’t know or trust these wolves, but he’d figured somewhat friendly was the best approach.

Reika nodded. "Yes, I was out gathering herbs, no surprise there and I had smelled them and the rest is history." She answered so only the male next to her could hear. Seeing the interaction between the two she quietly giggles. "Sassy," she said to herself with a smirk.

“If that’s all,” Yakone begins, nudging a little roughly at Anik’s haunch to get him standing, “we’ll get out of your fur.” Anik huffs, standing as silently instructed and nipping playfully at the other’s muzzle. “Come on, old man. Socialize, it’s good for you!”

Droplet flicked his audit at the comment. "Hm." He mused softly, his golden optics dull - expression unreadable. "As much as I would enjoy chasing you out, your -" The brute paused, examining Yakone up and down. "Father, I believe.. doesn't look fit to travel back."
Droplet offered a warm smile before flicking his tassel. "The best I can do is offer you some food and shelter." He paused once more, giving a thoughtful look "If you would like."

“I’m fine,” Yakone grumbles, straightening up as if that’d prove a point. “What he means,” Anik sighs, shooting a pointed look in the elder’s direction to keep him from saying anything grumpy, “is that he’d hate to intrude or stay longer than welcome; especially if your pack doesn’t know.”

Droplet flicked an audit towards the older brute. "If being welcomed is a problem then-" the male cut himself off. He threw his head back, letting a long, low howl echo through the dense forest. The Alpha male shifted his large build to the left, his tassel swaying gently with the breeze.
"Now everyone knows of your presence -" he paused for a second, a small smirk appeared on his maw. "You're free to leave if you'd like, but I must say, White River would love to meet you. I'm sure you'd find some kindred spirits."

Beech perked her ears at the sound of Droplet's howls. She had heard Reika's howl and seen Droplet go out, so she had thought the situation would be taken care of. She shook out her fur and glanced around the camp before deciding that a camp left unguarded for a few minutes to check out a problem wasn't the worst thing in the world. Besides, there were still wolves there, so it wasn't completely unguarded. She jumped off of her perch and loped towards the sound.
Seconds later she pulled up near the intruders, but still out of sight. She quickly assessed the situation. The elder of the wolves seemed a bit old to be travelling. The younger looked to be related, perhaps a father-son or uncle-nephew relationship. No one seemed hostile. Assured that it was safe, she stepped out of her hiding place, nodding a greeting to Droplet, Reika, and the intruders.

Vix was walking with her pups when she heard, Reika howl. She was going to headed back to the den with her pups but then she heard Droplet's howl so she looked at her pups. "You guys go back to the densite, I will be there in a little bit." Vix said smiling. They nodded and ran to the densite. Vix then headed towards the howl.

Yakone looks a bit on edge after the howl, ears pricking more alertly as he shuffles closer to Anik. Noting the discomfort at the new faces, Anik takes the lead for the time being. “‘Ello,” he greets, his angled tail wagging in a friendly greeting. “Pardon the old man, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a friendly pack.”

Beech dipped her head in acknowledgment. She quickly sketched a den and and an elk, looking quickly between Droplet and the two newcomers.
