Visiting old friends

Reika awoke the next morning to the sound of retreating pawsteps that she knew would be Vix as she had said she would be going hunting in the morning. Yawning a little, the silver female stood up and being careful not to wake up her pups, she stretched. Taking a short glance at her pups and seeing that they were still sleeping, walked to the den entrance and laid down to look at the sunrise. This morning wasn’t gray like during the cold months of winter but by soothing lavender and brilliant amber. The colors merged into neon pink and peach.

Reika glanced back inside the den upon hearing Blade and Lucy playing and sighs a little. Standing, she walks back into the den. "Can you two play a little quieter?I want them to sleep a little longer, please?" She asked the two playing while tilting her head in the direction of her still sleeping pups. She didn't mind the two playing but not while her own were trying to sleep at the moment.

Reika looked at Vix and shook her head, smiling. "Of course not." She said. "No trouble at all" Yawning again, Reika sat down and then shook her hread after she yawned. "We can leave when they wake up which won't be long." The silvery white female said incling her head to the sleeping pup pile.

Reika shrugs a little with a "Why not?", stood up, grabs one of the kills Vix had caught then walked back to the den. "It's at least a nice way of having some time to myself before- well spoke too soon." She had begun but interrupted herself upon hearing her pups waking up. The six pups yawn then walk the younger ones were a little wobbly still, over to her and upon seeing the kill, almost jumped for it had their mom not moved it out of their reach. Putting down the rabbit, Reika started to remove the fur from it then gave it to her pups. "I'll probably wound up getting something else anyway, besides they need it more." She said before Vix could question her actions.

Reika shook her head. "It's alright, we can hunt on our way there. You can have the last rabbit." She said, smiling. Looking at her pups, she sees that they are done eating and that they were a little bloody, picked up Kodi, and carefully pinned him down between her front legs. The dark and light brown pup struggled but could not escape as Reika proceeded to lick the blood off his fur. With him finished, she moves onto the others and soon all six of the pups were clean. "Mama, where we going?" Akira asked. "You'll see Aki," Reika answered.

Reika nodded at Vix and stood up. "Yup, ready." She said, nudging two of her pups; Lucian and Lucia, to stop playing and pay attention. "Lead the way, I don't exactly remember the way."

The six pups run ahead of their mother and follow Vix, Blade, and Lucy. Eyota tackling Blade a couple of time causing the two to tumble in the remaining slushy snow. "Why don't we sing songs like before to past the time?" Reika suggested nudging Akir as he stumbled a little to catch up with Lucy to talk to her. Lucia and Lucian were running in and out of their mother's paws while it seems Freya was calm for once. "Been too busy to do so with everyone else."

Eyota growled a little and ran after him, the slush not making it any easier and that's when Kodi decided to join the fun. "Where do you think we're going? Mama won't tell me." Akira asked once he had caught up to Lucy.
"Alright but I don't know what to sing exactly. Why don't you go first this time around." Reika said then picked up Freya when she had almost fallen asleep.

"I wish I knew." Akira said shaking his head at his older siblings as they play around. Lucian pounced on Lucia and the two went tumbling. Freya dozed off and Eyota and Kodi both tackled Blade and laughed.
Reika wagged her tail a little. "That was really good. I think I have a song now." She said the best she could with Freya in her mouth. Reika stopped for a moment to set Freya down and wake her up.https://youtu.be/0I2gTjRzxaw" Reika began to sing once she was awake and continued to walk.
