"Ear you mean," Reika said as she gently pried the teething pup off her ear then passed her over to the older wolf. "Now I know what a teething ring feels like." She said, rubbing her slightly throbbing appendage.

He chuckles, picking the pup up by the scruff before moving her closer to himself and setting her down. He returns his head to his paws, gaze on Reika. “I see you and Anik have gotten close.”

Reika stares at him like a deer in headlights but acts like what he said didn't catch her off guard. "When we were trying to ease the stress of this winter. I mean, close friends will do that." She said nonchalant with a flick of an ear.

His nonexistent brow seems to lift in question, head cocking to the side as it lifts ever so slightly from his paws. “I’d never known Anik to willingly make friends.”

Reika shrugged a bit. "I guess in certain times there is someone you can call a friend." She said, the twins trying to climb over her while the others were sleep. "Troublemakers." She muttered, slightly annoyed at becoming a teething ring or jungle gym.

Blade and Lucy watched Rei's pups climbing on her. "I wish they would grew up faster so we could have more play mates." Blade whined as he watched them. Lucy just giggled a little watching the twins.
Vix followed the doe's scent and blood. She was slower because of umping in the water to save Droplet. She soon saw the doe struggling to run. It was already badly injured because of Anik. She was surprised it even got this far from where the pack was and where Anik and her almost killed it.

Droplet watched as Anik padded up to the pair. He had been focused on the males legs rather what lay in his jaw. The brute flicked his audit irritated, although he quickly changed his demeanor as the younger dropped a rabbit and a squirrel at his paws. "Thank you." Droplet dipped his head respectfully.
The golden and black male looked at Umi, pawing over the hare, which was generally bigger than the squirrel. "Eat." he huffed gently, resting his head on his paws.

He seems to smile, his dull gaze brightening at the sight of the pups playing. “It’s been ages since I’ve had that joy,” he muses, rasping his tongue over the head of the pup near his paw in an affectionate motion. “Anik doesn’t let me treat him like one anymore, and my last litter was at. . eight years?” He looks thoughtful, before returning his attention to Reika. “Once they stop teething and exploring so much, they’ll be the greatest joy you’ll ever know. Much more than they are now; they’ll grow into fine young wolves, with you as their mother.”

"That's gonna be in a few weeks, Blade and don't worry Lucy they'll be climbing on you as well." Reika said, turning to look at the two climbing on her only to see them tumble off. Her attention then turns to Yakone. "Ah, Yak, you're gonna make me cry." She was honestly serious about that.

“Tears of joy, I hope.” He raises his head again, ignoring the pup’s attempts to play or reach his ear to chew on it. His ears angle toward the den entrance as Anik steps inside, shaking snow from his pelt before he’s in. “I wasn’t the runt,” he grumbles, having heard his father’s first story as he’d passed by earlier, “that was Miki. You literally named her ‘Little’.”

Reika sighed a little exasperated as the twins tumble off her and onto their siblings which woke up Kodi. "Seems I know who the troublemakers are and that's a cute name." She said with a light roll of her eyes.

Umi looked almost disapproving at Droplet “You need this just as much as I.” She began to rip the hare in half as equally as she could as well as the squirrel. She did her best, nosing half of the two prey animals over to Droplet Umi insisted he eat with her.

Vix jumped aiming at it’s throat and bit down. The doe struggled to buck but still managed to hit her side. Vix let go and backed away a little. She let the pain subside before attacking the doe again. After a few minutes, the doe finally died. Vix stood next to the kill and caught her breathe. Vix howled knowing the pack is hungry. She laid down near the kill and waited for the pack to come and eat.
Blade and Lucy yawned and decided to take a nap. Lucy spinned around three times and laid down. Blade laid down next to her.

Reika lifted her head off her paws and looked out the den at the sound of Vix's howl. "You guys should go and get something to eat, I'll watch the pups." She said.

“I can bring something back for you, if you’re still hungry,” Anik offers, both males pushing themselves to their paws at the sound of the howl. Yakone is already on his way out with the usual happy skip in his step, along with the limp.

"Yes please but don't forget yourself, aejeong." Reika said, giving the other a pointed look the abandoned pup having moved back over to her and went back to bitting her ear. "Oh come on." Reika sighed.

He only nods, casting an amused glance toward the pup before he turns and follows Yakone to the kill. He catches up fairly quickly, walking next to the older lupine as he approaches the source of the howl.

Reika only sighed, pried the pup off her ear again, stood up, moved Lucy and Blade near her pups then laid back down to keep them warm while the two slept. She glanced at the abandoned pup starting to think of names for her. "Freya after the Norse goddess. That will be your name from now on."

Droplet scowled over Umi before licking her audit quickly. He had to admit, the dame was very intelligent. The brute groomed his matted fur before devouring the chucks of Squirrel and Hare. "Thank you-" he huffed gently, licking his maw free of blood. "I'm still hungry though." Droplet muttered

Reika looked to Droplet then back to the pup on her ear. "Vix took down that doe from earlier so there's something to eat." She said, noting that the abandoned pup now named Freya's eyes were open though she was sure her vision was poor. "Aren't you cute." She cooed as the pup finally let's go of her ear with a yawn then lays down.
