“Of course!” He returns to lying down where he was before, though somewhat closer to Reika’s offspring. “Good luck with that one, he’s usually in a mood or thinking when he goes off on his own without a warning.”

“Hmph,” the masculine scoffed. “Do not go making claims you cannot stay true to,” he retorted. Shaking his head as he rolled to his stomach and elevated his frontal region an turned his head so that he was facing her. “Tch tch tch,” he clicked his tongue will shanking his head side to side slowly. “Well, it seems I need to teach you a lesson.” As Calix’s grin returned he stretched towards the dame, nipping at her ears quickly but gently.

"I'll keep that in mind and thanks again." Reika said with a nod, padded out of the den, taking a moment to sniff around for Anik's scent and once finding it, she followed it. 'Wish it was warmer.' She thought with a small shiver from a cold breeze but giving off warmth due to its peace.

Laughing softly as she tried to paw at him the small dame wiggled around slightly as if trying to free herself. "Alright you win this round big boy. That actually tickles." Flicking her ears gently as he nipped at her Keeva reached up gently pressed her nose against his before lowering her head back down. "It's not fair though, you always win just because you're bigger than me. But you should know I have a few tricks to get just what I want, when I want." Keeping her little smirk on her features she gently placed a paw right on his muzzle.

Anik moves through the snow at a canter, eyeing his surroundings and occasionally giving a small shake to rid his fur of snow. He keeps his ears pricked, listening for any sign of approaching pawsteps. He’s nearing the lake, though his pace is more cautious as he advances.

Seeing that Anik's scent had led to the lake, Reika continued her task while also looking around at the wintery forest. Once she finds Anik, she sees that his pace is cautious though she doesn't know why.

He lowers his head to the snow, sniffing at the ground in search of anything odd. He’d thought he heard something in this direction, but soon finds that nothing is there. With a noise of frustration, he sits.

"Anik?" Reika asked as she walked up next to the darker male. "Is everything alright?"She lightly touched his shoulder with her nose and looked at him with gentle concern and spoke in a soft voice. She sits down next to him, her ears swiveling in case of nearby danger and licks his cheek a couple times.

He relaxes at the contact, eyes closing momentarily. “Just thought I heard something,” he murmurs, not offering more than that. “It was nothing, thankfully.”

Reika takes a moment to look around the area. Something may be out there but whatever it or who it is, its not close. "Alright but it still feels like someone or something is out there." She said turning back to Anik and resuming her previous actions.

He nods, turning his head to return the affectionate action before he rises to his paws once more. “Should we head back? Or keep checking the area?”

Reika closes her eyes for a moment, feeling the stress from earlier going away from his actions. "We should head back, your dad is watching my pups." She said getting to her paws. "Seems they can't be left alone for long and you know what? The little pup whom I named Freya called me mama earlier and that was soo cute."

He chuckles at the mention of Yakone watching Reika’s young, ears twitching. “That sounds like dad. Always wanting to feel like a parent.” When he’d noticed her finishing statement, the amusement is replaced with surprise. “She did?”

Reika nodded, her tail wagging almost uncontrollably in her excitement. "Hai, and I was shook." She said, giggling a little. "I know that other wolf is her biological mother but I just feel so proud and happy. Come on, let's go."
Freya and her littermates move closer to Yakone and curled up against him and into two piles with three in each.

“What a feisty little thing you’ve become,” he returned, bright visionaries sporting a look of pure intrigue. “I would simply hate to inquire you in correspondence to your recent involvements, wouldn’t I?” He teased, one brow raised and one corner of his mouth pulled back. He licked his chops, allowing his head to rest atop his paws. As he head lowered, he held his gaze to damsel. What a fascinating creature, Calix thought. Simply.. intriguing.

Flicking her ears lightly she held her usual playful grin before pulling herself up to her small mitts. "I am indeed a feisty one, I've been told that numerous of-" It wasn't till then as she was about to finish her sentence she suddenly released a hardy cough. Instantly turning her head away from the male so that she wouldn't pass it on. Breathing just a bit heavier than usual she gave a tired sigh as she kept her back facing the sire. Casting a glance over to the small entrance of the den she folds her ears back against her crown before finally speaking again. "Perhaps we should head back now. Don't want them to worry about where we are and such now do we?"

Yakone seemingly brightens at the contact, his tail wagging as he curls almost protectively against the younger lupine’s offspring. His head lowers, tongue rasping over their heads to groom them and also keep them warm. Anik nods, bumping against her flank with his playfully with a quick ‘race ya’, before he starts back to the camp at a near sprint. |

Reika smiles amused and tiredly at Anik and rolls her eyes. "You're on, Ani-kun." She said and began to follow him at a brisk jog. "I won't guarantee that I'll win." Today was definitely a stressful one but hopefully, it will get better.

“That’s the plan!” He’s careful to stay ahead, though still making sure she’d still have a chance since he gave himself a head start. “I also can’t promise you’ll be getting your pups back immediately if Yak’s comfortable. You’ll probably have more time to yourself.”

"That's okay, they'll be sleep for the most part anyways." Reika said, rolling her eyes but on the inside she felt her maternal instincts telling her to be with her pups. Shaking it away, she continues to follow Anik.
