He nods, picking up to nearly a sprint now to get to the camp faster. He shakes his frame to rid his coat of any snow, not saying anything else for the moment.

The masculine furrowed his brows. Flickering his audits he replied, “I suppose. I’m sure they’re concerned with more urgent matters however.” Thumping his tassel lightly he began to shimmy out of the den. “As you wish, though.” Making his way out of the den he turned to gaze at the damsel. What had caused her sudden change of behavior?

As she began to follow the sire out of the den Keeva couldn't help but to feel just a bit weak in her limbs. Which of course was a reason to see Reika once more. Her emerald green gaze facing the snow covered ground her ears seemed to remain folded back as she began to carefully walk a bit ahead of him. Maybe once she gets back she'll get some rest, her head wasn't hurting as of now though it could return later on. "I feel like Droplet or Reika are going to question me when we get back." The small dame muttered as her gaze narrowed.

Reika huffs a little at Anik increasing his speed and just keeps her pace, still feeling tired. I may not be able to sleep anyways. I gotta make sure Keeva and Droplet are alright. She thought to herself which distracts her momentarily which causes her to almost trip but she catches herself.

He stops just beyond the den, looking back at Reika over his shoulder and waiting patiently, tail lifted and wagging. “Come on, then!” He yips, shuffling ever so slightly closer to the den.

Realized that Anik was farther than she had seen him before, she sprinted to catch up and almost passed him in her rush. "Sorry, things on my mind." She apologized.

Vix came into the den with two rabbits and placed one by her pups and then she looked at yakone and nodded him a greeting. While her pups ate she laid down and ate her kill.

Umi looked concerned when she appeared at the opening of the den to see Droplet wounded, it wasn’t just his paw this time. Craning her head to the side Umi questioned “What wrong love?” Her ice blue optics soft as well as her voice.

Before she could enter the den, Reika remembered at that moment that she had to dress Droplet's wound and she mentally scolded herself for getting distracted. "I'll be back," She murmured to Anik then dashed away to go and find cobwebs. Finding the item she needed, she returned her left forepaw wrapped in a thick wad of cobwebs and went over to Droplet. She peeled a clump of cobwebs from her paw and began to press them firmly onto the alpha's wound using her teeth and front paws to press the wad of cobwebs onto the wound. "Make sure to come to me when those need to be redressed, we don't need an infection, "Reika said after she finished then went inside the den and laid down in her usual spot with a sigh.

“Which means you get bragging rights,” he returned. His head elevated in a stature of both dominance and pride. “You get to tell them you’ve been with yours truly.” The masculine trotted to move alongside the same. He decided it was best to simply observe - not ask about her current health. If she was ill, he didn’t believe Keeva would tell him regardless.

Hearing him she simply chuckled before walking up to his side and playfully bumping into his side. Always so prideful he was, though Keeva was the same way a bit. Which gave her a reason to mostly be in his company rather than others, it was easy to be herself around him. "Prideful aren't you? If anything I should be the one to say that, you're lucky to be blessed with my presence." Holding a sly faint smirk she soon picked up the pace a bit to trot ahead of him.

Craning her head to the side Umi questioned “What wrong love?” Her ice blue optics soft as well as her voice. Droplet closed his eyes tight as Umi asked him a question. It took him a long time to process the question. "Uh-" he finally opened his maw to speak. "Nothing-" he said bluntly. "I'm fine. Tired is all." Droplet looked up at Umi. His golden optics were dull. Pain could be seen from his eyes. "Come cuddle." he yawned gently. |

Umi gave Droplet a small smile as she circled close to him cuddling to circulate warmth between them. The golden dame hadn't missed the dull pained look in her mate's normally bright gold hues, she frowned slightly concerned. Umi had seen a bit of what happened at caught on to the rest once Keeva left with Calix, and she wasn't completely upset with the smaller dame, something was making her off put for sure Umi could feel it. For now though she had to focus on Droplet, Umi whispered lightly into his right audit, "I know something is up Drop, you can tell me." Umi's voice sounded a little strained at the end of her comment and her ice blue optics looked concerned. The golden dame groomed her golden-black mate's pelt soothingly.

Droplet twisted his cranium to face his mate, quickly burying his snout near her nape. A deep sigh emitted from his nostrils. The male struggled to reply back to such a simple statement. "I-" he started, his voice cracking pathetically. "I'm hurt. I feel like I can't lead, Umi" Droplet paused, shutting his eyes tight "I can't do this. I'm not the strong leader everyone pictures me as, I-" he cuts himself off, clearing his throat.
"I can't do this." the golden and black Alpha whispered hoarsely.

Umi shook her head to her mate’s response. “No one expects you to lift the heavens Droplet, nor do we think any less of you since your injuries occurred.” She paused to take a breath. “You are a strong leader, I know it! You remind me of my father in a way..” Umi paused again briefly remembering her father Kiri the alpha of her birth pack. “Droplet, my love, you handle any task thrown at you with so much grace, and even if the road is rocky you find a way to help and touch everyone around you before helping yourself.” “That’s a leader if I’ve ever seen one. And I’m always here to support you in any way wolfly possible.” The golden dame nuzzled her mate. Umi chuckles a little “Besides that’s why there’s two alphas not one, your little sunshine is here for you cinnabon.” Umi’s voice grew quieter at her last statement with a smile as she licked Droplet’s cheek curling her tassel with his.

[Annnddd time skip a few minutes]
Just as the two seemed to have made it back where the others were Keeva silently walked towards the base of a large tree and lowered herself to lay on her stomach. Allowing her emerald colored eyes to glance about the others for a moment before breathing a tired sigh. For now she would just remain where she was until then, though her main concern was having to deal about whatever occurred earlier in the day. Most likely one of the alphas was to confront her, which just that thought alone placed her on edge a bit.

Droplet wrapped his tassel around his mate for comfort. "Thank you." was all he managed to breathe out. "I really needed that" the brute almost choked on his words. Relief hit as he lay on his side, exposing what was his now broken paw. Blood oozed out steadily as his breathing pattern became more shallow. "I'm tired." Droplet muttered, closing his eyes.

Umi nuzzled Droplet “Rest then my love.” The golden dame lay beside her mate but soon saw his slowly bleeding paw, ‘Maybe it needs to have the bandage changed..’ Umi thought to herself. She knew Reika just changed the wrappings, but she didn’t like how this was affecting Droplet at all, worry began to steadily rise inside Umi and she carefully stood not to disturb Drople untangling their bodies. Umi looked around the cave for Reika and called for her padding up to the dame once she saw her. Umi ice blue optics looked concerned “Reika, do you think you could look at Droplet’s paw? Something isn’t right with him..” she trailed off not wanting to get too nervous hopefully over nothing....right?.

Reika looked up at Umi when she heard her name being called and nodded, quickly standing and moving over to Droplet, grimacing slightly at the sight of it. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Carefully, the silver-white female undid the cobwebs. After taking them off, she goes to find Horsetail and more cobwebs and soon returns with the items. Reika then begins to clean the wound again, chewed the leaves of the herb and spat the juice on the injury, then reapplied cobwebs to it. "Try and keep his paw elevated, it'll help stop the blood flow and help the injury heal." She said to her friend, picking up the bloodied wrappings.

Umi nodded “Will do and thank you Reika.” She offered a smile of gratitude before turning her attention back to Droplet. Umi carefully lifted his leg so that his paw would rest on her back elevated off the ground. It was the best she could think of, just as well her pelt definitely felt better than and rock. Umi smiled at a sleeping Droplet as she watched him lovingly while keeping her audits open around her.
